Sadly, Gregg Berger was turned down for the role of Grimlock. The role is rumored to be going to Jim Parsons instead.

Is that also a CGI character like JJReason? Or is Parsons just going to dress up in a homemade cardboard Grimlock costume?

Actually, he'll be wearing this hoodie.

i heard it was going to be Stellan Skarsgård - did those negotiations fall through? he must be demanding too much money riding on Thor's coattails.
apparently they have Terrance Stamp in talks for the role of General Zod. personally, i can't see it, i'd rather they get Christopher Walken.

From the look of that pic, Jason Statham is playing Grim Shady.

That was a test shot; they decided Statham was too masculine. Orci said they think the only way to really get to the "heart" of Grimlock is to strip away his immense strength, metal skin, electro-sword, and dino-mode. He said in an interview that Grimlock, once you get past the "cosmetic" aspects of these things, is just a frightened little nerd in a hoodie, and that's what they're going for.

GNT won't be an actual character, but there will be an Easter Egg reference to him. There will be pads of post-it notes hidden in every scene.
If OJ gets that retrial and is freed, he may be able to make a cameo.
Would Steven Colbert make a good Perpentor?

I know he bailed on playing anarky, but I'm sure he'd jump at that role. Who wouldn't? Hell, I auditioned, and, when they said no, I put on a fake mustache and auditioned a second time with a fake English accent so they wouldn't know it was me again!
