most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...
Is anyone else looking forward to this show as much as I am?
Just to laugh at stupid people while they perform extremely poorly on crazy obstacle courses while the consumption of massive amounts of alcohol makes for an even better viewing experience?!?!?!?
Yup, I can not wait for this shit to air!
"Once there were brook trout in the streams in the mountains. You could see them standing in the amber current where the white edges of their fins wimpled softly in the flow. They smelled of moss in your hand. Polished and muscular and torsional. On their backs were vermiculate patterns that were maps of the world in its becoming. Maps and mazes. Of a thing which could not be put back. Not be made right again. In the deep glens where they lived all things were older than man and they hummed of mystery."
I'm keeping my hopes up. From the previews and trailers I've seen on TV and the Internet, it looks to be very humorous and entertaining, especially while intoxicated.
I don't think I've ever seen MXC?!? but it sounds very familiar.

MXC used to be known as Most Extreme Elimination Challenge, but the name was shortened a few years back. It's old footage of a Japanese game show called "Takeshi's Castle" but re-dubbed in English, but instead of a literal translation they add jokes and goofy names and whatnot. Most of the stunts look strikingly similar to those on the commercials of Wipeout. They don't play it as much as they used to, but it's still on Spike TV every once in a while.
Oh! Okay, I know exactly what you are talking about. I think it used to come on late at night sometimes, IIRC.

Reminder: This show premiers tonight on ABC at 8:00 est. Which is only 10 minutes away!!! Sweet...

Apparently this show attracted an astounding 15 million viewers!!! That's a huge fucking audience.
I still haven't watched it, I know. I had company in town and recorded it. I'm going to my brother's new place on Friday and we are going to get plastered and watch it. Then we will proceed to play Mario Kart, Guitar Hero while we continue to take shots and drink heavily.

Watched this Friday night with the brother, and the show was fucking awesome!!! Very good entertainment! Even better than I was expecting. So good I even watched the encore that aired tonight.
You all have gotta watch this show, seriously!

I caught a little bit of it tonight. It looked like it was pretty fun, and it has that hot girl from the Blade show. I'll likely tune in when it's on again, and also to I Survived a Japanese Game Show right after.
I haven't heard good things about Japanese Game Show....
but moving along...
Just got through watching this week's episode of Wipeout and it was just as good as the first. This show is fantastic entertainment and is a blast to watch, while enjoying some alcohol, as I've mentioned 100 times now.
Shame on all of you for not watching this hilarious and highly entertaining show!!!

You watch anymore JJL, or any of you other bastids?
I watched this weeks show late last night but ended up getting real shitty, so I'm gonna have to watch it again.

Naw, I haven't seen any more than the first time I watched it. I don't like the sports-like commentary too much. I saw some of I Survived . . . and it was more like a reality show than an actual straight-up game show, which I would have preferred. Ah well, I'll check back in when I have time.
Gotcha. The commentary is actually pretty funny, given the context of the whole show and what not. The dudes aren't overly obnoxious and they are rather creative at times. The chick who interviews the contestants is hot. Did you say she was on the Blade TV series?
Off topic - You watching Big Brother? I hope you are. I am actually impressed thus far, and I didn't have the greatest expectations or highest hopes with these house guests. They aren't bad. Try to chime in at the other site if you are watching it/keeping with it.
