Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly reunite and looks like they'll be making for the crap factory that was Talladega Nights.

Re: Step Brothers
Jim Carey and Adam Sandler ran their courses. When is Will Ferrell's going to end?
I haven't seen Talladega Nights yet.

Re: Step Brothers
Call me crazy, but that shit looks funny. I laughed my ass off when John C. Reilly jumped on top of the bunk bed. I'm really thanking God that this isn't another Will Ferrell sports movie. I think I'll check it out. Besides, I did like Talladega Nights, it's just that it was nothing compared to Anchorman.

Re: Step Brothers
Hopefully never. I thought Talladega Nights was his only real misstep. Even his cameos in bad movies (*cough*WeddingCrashers*cough*) are great.Rogue II wrote:Jim Carey and Adam Sandler ran their courses. When is Will Ferrell's going to end?
Its worse than The Blues Brothers looks.Rogue II wrote:I haven't seen Talladega Nights yet.
Even though that is an OLD gag, it was still funny.Double_G wrote:I laughed my ass off when John C. Reilly jumped on top of the bunk bed.

I still can't believe none of you liked Talladega Nights. I almost shat myself seventeen times, and actually did twice.

I still can't believe you liked it. I also nearly shat myself - because it sucked so hard.

Re: Step Brothers
This movie could be really funny. And I'm with you DG, glad this isn't another sports movie. I loved Richard Jenkins' work in Six Feet Under, and it looks like he was perfectly cast as the father. This movie has some promise. And I know we have established it probably 20 times now, who liked Talladega Nights and who didn't, but for the 21st time, I enjoyed it.
"Once there were brook trout in the streams in the mountains. You could see them standing in the amber current where the white edges of their fins wimpled softly in the flow. They smelled of moss in your hand. Polished and muscular and torsional. On their backs were vermiculate patterns that were maps of the world in its becoming. Maps and mazes. Of a thing which could not be put back. Not be made right again. In the deep glens where they lived all things were older than man and they hummed of mystery."
Re: Step Brothers
So that makes four of us (in this thread at least) who liked Talladega Nights (Anarky, Kidhuman, Uke, and myself) and one of us who didn't (Diabolical). I always thought there were more who hated the movie than liked it.

Re: Step Brothers
I saw a commercial with Will Ferrell in a 70s basketball outfit. Was that just for some crazy commercial for deoderant or is that really a movie?

RII, that was for Semi-Pro, which comes out tomorrow. I'll pass on that one but see Step Brothers; John C. Reilly is always awesome.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

I hated Talladega Nights, I loved Blades of Glory, and I ejaculate in my pants at the thought of Anchorman.

Ditto. Anchorman may be one of the most quotable movies ever.Sleazer wrote:I hated Talladega Nights, I loved Blades of Glory, and I ejaculate in my pants at the thought of Anchorman.![]()

Re: Step Brothers
This may be hard to believe but Wake Up Ron Burgundy is worse than Talladega Nights.
