most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

I was just going to start a topic about Black Books, but I figured if I spread it out to discuss other gems from across the pond, it wouldn't die like a leaf off the tree.

Black Books. I borrowed the first six episodes from a guy and while I didn't laugh my ass off, I did consistently have a smile on my face at it's absurd English humour. And there were plenty of laugh out loud moments. The comic timing of the three leads is impeccable. I can't wait to see the remaining dozen episodes.
