They were very rudimentary, almost garbage builds. I want to build the Slave-1 just to put it next to the one I got from a couple years ago

Re: LEGO!
Both sets were like 99.5% complete. The Jedi ship is missing two white fins behind the cockpit, and an engine part under the right wing.
The B-Wing is even more complete. It’s missing a small vent greeble and a small black stick that’s the third gun on the tail cannon.
The sets were my sons from when he was little and left them at my parents house years ago.

Re: LEGO!
Put together my Medieval Town Square set that I bought a few weeks ago. Put it with the Blacksmith shop from a couple years ago. Somewhere in the basement I have the 2009 Medieval Market Square set that would go with them.
I also have a big Lion Knight’s Castle and the BDP Seaside Market, both unopened. All combined together would be an epic castle town (the Dungeons & Dragons set would also fit in nicely). The problem, as always, is the space to display all of it.

My next two builds are the water damaged sets from last weekend’s flooded basement.

My Blacktron Renegade arrived! It will go nicely with its two GWP “escorts” that I got last year. But I shan’t put them together for awhile.

Re: LEGO!
I bought a bunch of craft organizers at JoAnn’s while they were going out of business. Organizing all my tiny elements finally.
I only bought four. That might not have been enough.
I guess I’ll have to decide how much I want to break down each type of element. Lots of 1x1 bricks, tiles, round studs, round tiles, cheese wedges, translucent elements, “plant” elements, and a shit ton of handheld accessories; scissors, binocs, whips, spoons, flippers, etc etc.

Re: LEGO!
the updated Renegade and the Invader ("Cruiser? Naw!") are awesome. the only thing that bothers me is that they changed the configuration of the "hardpoint" connections (the clips and bars) between the modules. it's easy enough for most of the connections in the Invader to modify them, but some are 1x brick thick, so need a bit of reworking.Tom Foolery wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 9:23 pm My Blacktron Renegade arrived! i have about 40 "small parts organizers" (every time we went to Home Depot for construction materials during the renovation of our previous house, i threw a couple in the cart to get to the $300 special financing threshold) of various branding (Plano, Husky, etc...) every time i went it was like they were selling a different brand. they're all pretty similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/Plano-ProLatch-S ... 1YRD/?th=1Tom Foolery wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 9:50 pm I bought a bunch of craft organizers at JoAnn’s while they were going out of business. They announced the Gameboy and Arkham Asylum today:
https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/game-boy-72046
https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/arkham-asylum-76300
For $300, I'd thought the Asylum would be a little bigger.

Re: LEGO!
Yeah, there’s hardly any interior there. And barely any good pics of what the interior looks like. I like how it’s a reverse-corner modular, but I’d like to see how that looks with some other sets on either side.Ran wrote: ↑Wed Jul 23, 2025 8:37 pm They announced the Gameboy and Arkham Asylum today:

Re: LEGO!
price/size wise, it looks pretty on par with the X-Mansion and Sanctum Sanctorum: slightly smaller, and $30 cheaper than the mansion, slightly larger and $50 more than the Sanctum.Tom Foolery wrote: ↑Thu Jul 24, 2025 12:49 am Yeah, there’s hardly any interior there. there are "standard" connection points on the "back" sides. only looks like one connection point on the left front side. not sure how well it would work out as a reverse-corner. looks like the left (from the front) wing is all cells and the right wing is a therapy room on the second floor and the guards' office on the first floor.

Re: LEGO!
the Bugle is far larger in height, but pretty thin front-to-back. and while it has detailed interiors, the ceiling height for each floor makes it very airy. it was also released in 2021 at the $350 price point with 3772 pieces. it would probably be more like $400 if it were released today. let's break down each of the Marvel/DC modulars and see:
- The Daily Bugle - 2021, 3772 pieces, $350. 2025 price ~$400-$425
- Sanctum Sanctorum - 2022, 2708 pieces, $250. 2025 price ~$300
- Avenger's Tower - 2023, 5201 pieces, $500. 2025 price ~$550
- X-Mansion - 2024, 3093 pieces, $330.
- Arkham Asylum - 2025, 2953 pieces, $300
