I had forgotten/didn’t know I had this issue. I will speculate that snooty, comic elitist 15 year old me only recognized the Mirage TMNT as the “real” Turtle comics, but had probably got this for his 5 year old sister who was hardcore into the cartoon TMNT and had a bunch of the toys, and this didn’t go in MY collection and got shoved in a different box, but somehow miraculously didn’t get tossed or mangled for decades.

I was just the opposite.
I loved the cartoon turtles. The Mirage stuff was too dark and serious for me at the time.
This issue was an early Holy grail for me, but it was crazy expensive at the time, like $20!!! lol

Advising to comicbookrealm, that first issue is $165.00!

The Archie series is better than the Mirage. Mirage had something like ten issues before it became a mess of guest creators doing all filler issues.
It really is crazy how little of the various old TMNT series are available to read.

The Archie series was great... and batshit weird.

I also found an issue of Ghostly Tales from Charlton Comics that cbrealm values at $50 and the first four issues of Peter Porker from the Star Comics line, but they aren’t as valuable as I thought. Not his first app.
Also found an Archie’s Showcase Pack, which was a shrink wrapped bundle of random Archie comics and the smaller Digest Books. There’s a dozen comics in there, and 4 digests. But I can only see two of the comics. One is Sonic 11 which is semi valuable at $12. Debating on whether I should open it. I’m not a big Sonic fan, but my son is. He’d probably get a kick out “old” Sonic books. Then again, that may be the only one in there and the rest is just Archie books.

Found the first ‘hidden gem’ in my sorting. The Starfire series from 2015. I usually only grab variant covers if I can’t find the main cover, with the intent to fill in the hole later on. The variant cover of issue 6 with Kori making out with Pepe Lepew, is $55.
And the Neal Adams variant of Wonder Woman 49 is $25.

Spider-Man: Noir # 1 $225?

I’ve got the variant cover. It’s a meager $150. But since I paid 25 cents for it, I’m not complaining. I think they’re making a live-action TV series. Did I hear that somewhere?
I’ve been tossing my FCBD books aside for the last ten years. They’ll get put in a short box, then moved to another box, etc. I finally decided to log them all in the same box under ‘FCBD’ alphabetically.
I got excited to find a 2016 Legend of Korra issue for $15. Then immediately after I found a One Punch Man/My Hero Academia issue worth $40.

Was adding Darkhawk 51, which was one of those Legacy single issues they put out in 2018, onto cbrealm. Saw how much the low print run of the last half dozen issues of the original 90s Darkhawk series had jumped up in price.

Not really sure it's a hidden gem, but according to comicbookrealm, this is worth $715.00.
Ahsoka's first comic appearance.
I'm pretty sure I have it. I just need to find it.

The current sorting had yielded some decent books; $12 here, $20 there, the first issue of Moon Girl/Devil Dinosaur has appreciated nicely. And I’ll probably do a more thorough brag when I get done.
But this one caught me off guard. The Spider-Verse six issue mini from 2019-2020. The first issue is a respectable $20. The final issue is $150! Whaaaat??

Hmmm...now the questioning begins... do I still have it, or did I sell it??? Search commencing, with potential for self-loathing tagging along for the ride.
