For you Speed Racer guys...Look in the Easter aisle at Target. They have 5 or 6 different 3 packs of Speed Racer hot wheels-sized cars for around $6. A version of the Mach 5 is in every pack. If they don't sell, they will be half price the day after Easter.

Its Speed Racer, so of course it won't sell.

I picked up two Thor-Axine cars earlier in the week. I already have one. Would I be mistaken that two guys named vyn and mabs would be interested?

Check the Target packs. I've not seen 'em, but there's a good chance one is the set with the exclusive Three Roses car.

I'll put it with Hellboy, and some other goodies I've got for you (like the second of two powerful totems, the first of which went to Slicker ;)).

I got the Resolute 5-pack last night. I'd passed on Cobra Commander and Duke knowing they were in this set. I can always use the army-builders. (I kinda wish they'd re-release the Cobra Trooper in the standard blue again already; I'd love to display one without the outer vest, as it would look cool.) The packaging is hella cheap compared to the original 5-packs from 2007.

I am officially now the only person to have seen neither SW Wave 5 or the WM exclusive comic packs. I actually want a few of them, which is probably why I keep seeing Clone Wars shit.

Ooohhh Thoraxine (weird- must have been copyright problems since in that "wonderful world of racing" they were distinctly called "Thorazine" pronounced "thor-a-zee-knee")

Good Score man, I doubt they've made it too far outta the coast area- I am not in ANY rush tho, so we can work it out at your convenience- thanks for the awesome hunting, ya kinda fucking NEED that car eh :mabs:

I went back and checked those Speed Racer cars at Target. None of them were called "Three Roses" but one of them looked like it had flowers on it. There are 4 sets at $8.99 each. Each has 3 cars. 3 of the 4 sets have the regular Mach 5. 2 of the sets have the F1 Mach 5. 2 sets have the same yellow F1 car. Basically, in the 4 different sets there are only 8 different cars, which seems stupid to me. Who the hell are they trying to fool?

The Dollar store next to Target also had a ton of single Speed Racer cars. I didn't really look at those, but they were probably 5 or 6 pegs wide from floor up to the top. There might have been maybe 6 different cars, most of which were Mach 5.

I got the three cantina denizens and the WM exclusive packs. The only other Wave 5 figure they had was Ben; I don't want another figure of the old fart. I could build a damn army of Ben Kenobis as it is. I was only going to get the Ewok pack, but all three looked sweet--much nicer than any of the recent mass-market comic packs (like African-American Karrde vs Thrawn rehash).

If you don't like Ewoks, you're a fucking asshole.

The Thrawn is all-new, as has been said before. The Obi-Wan is a shitload better than any of the others (in terms of sculpt and articulation, but I know you don't care about the latter) and has the sweet-ass table. Carry on.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

A second figure of a minor character who was adequate to begin with is a rehash in my book, new sculpt or not. I would've bought Black Talon if he'd come with, say, C'Baoth, Pellaeon, or a Noghri.

Obi-Wan is pretty good even though his hood is huge. There haven't been that many OT Kenobis, has there? POTF2, Cantina Cinema scene, Spirit Cinema Scene, POTJ, and Saga Dagobah spirit. At least he's a main character. How many Greedo, Bossk and Walrusman figures have been made in the same period?

I saw the Ewoks today. The paint on one of them was ok and the other two almost look like bootlegs. Still, I'll might buy them.

I know the term varies, but I always define "rehash" as a figure that uses significant parts of an older figure. I actually don't use that word much lately, though. In my terms, Thrawn is a resculpt.

If you're including the spirit, then there's also the mail-away figure. As for "living" ANH Obi-Wans, there's also the Force FX one (with the light-up green saber), the Flashback Photo one with the hood (repacked in a cantina bar set) and the VOTC one (with which the new one shares a torso). So he's had a fair few representations, but the others are just goofy looking compared to the newest one.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.
