I'm more & more proud of my kid - she's studying film in school right now & even as a 16 year old would rather see the source material for the remakes than the remakes. She knows bullshit when she sees it.

I'm not making a new topic for Gods of Egypt. But was it a deliberate choice to make the effects in the movie look like it was a SyFy movie budget? I feel bad for everyone in that movie.

You know how to make Emily Blunt's cross eyed fugliness apparent to the world?
Put her in the same movie as Jessica Chastain and Charlize Theron.
I feel like the only reason Huntsman 2 got made is because the original film had The Super Hot Mad Max chick and the guy from the Thor and Avengers movies under contract to do a sequel and it would be stupid not to milk that.

I've got to say, as a big fan of Seven Samurai, and huge fan of the "original," this one leaves me cautiously optimistic.
Not crazy about the choice of music in the trailer, though.

So the new trend is to redo everything from the 80s & 90s for tv? Lethal Weapon, Lost Boys, and MacGyver are all going to be new tv shows.

Holy shit. I just saw a trailer/commercial for Lethal Weapon. The guy they cast as Riggs looks like they hired the garbageman, or the guy that comes and hooks up your dish. And he's about as charismatic as dishwater. And then of course they went with a Wayans brother for Murtaugh. It's like they want the tax write off. I give it four episodes before its pulled.
