Re: Celebrity Death Pool!
The only thing I remember David Johansen from is the awfulsome 90s future dystopian sci-fi flick Freejack with Emilio Estevez and Mick Jagger.

He was also the Ghost of Christmas Past in Scrooged.
The New York Dolls only put out two albums, but they're phenomenal. Most people seem to prefer the first, self-titled one, but I think the second (Too Much Too Soon) is better.

Brian James, original guitarist for the Damned and writer of "New Rose," usually considered the first punk single, 70. Cause of death not public yet, but I'm honestly surprised any 70s punk icon made it to 70, so there's that.

George Foreman. Punched people and put his name on a Grill. It’s a tossup for which one he’s more famous for. 76.

Also named all his sons George (I thought until yesterday that he named his daughters George as well). That's the kind of thing that's simultaneously weird and awesome.

Again, fuck cancer.
You know, I can't possibly pick a favorite role of his. Nick Rivers? Chris Shiherlis? Madmartigan? Hell, weak as the movie was, Batman? And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Re: Celebrity Death Pool!
I just watched Willow last week. It’s one of those movies you can put on in the background while doing other stuff. Every line is a classic. And it has not one, not two, but THREE iconic themes in its score. They’d use that stuff in other movie trailers for like a decade after it came out.
Another classic role of his…Gay Perry.
“Still gay?”
“Oh hell no. I’m knee deep in pussy, but the name stuck.”

The Pope. 88.
There’s only been five Popes since I’ve(I guess We’ve) been alive and two of them were before I was five years old and can remember anything. So basically three popes in my lifetime.

Re: Celebrity Death Pool!
I looked up the list of Popes on Wikipedia today. Pope John Paul II is the first Pope I remember. He became Pope in 1978, so I would have been 5. I have no memory of his predecessor, probably because John Paul I was only Pope for 33 days. Sure, I was 5, but as Catholic as my family was, it seems like I should remember 2 Popes keeling over just a month apart. Then again, I remember Regan getting shot, but not John Lennon, and that in 1980. I must have decided at a very young age that I shouldn't watch the news because it was just too depressing.
