X-Men '97

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

Oh man, when Jubillee asked “does this team have a name?” and then the Credits kicked in for episode 2, I fucking lost it. That was awesome.

Interesting tidbit. During one of the episodes, Storm calls Forge by his given name Daniel. I was like ‘what? When did they give Forge a name??’ and I looked at his Marvel wiki page, which does still list his name as ‘unrevealed’.

But waaaaay down at the bottom of his page, in the trivia, it notes that Claremont, in his original outline for Forge’s 1st app in UXM 184, had Forge’s given name as Daniel Lone Eagle. But it was never implemented in the actual comic. It’s weird that he’s never been given a proper name because a big part of his origin was him being ambushed in Vietnam and his squadron getting killed. A soldier’s name rank, serial number etc would be an easily accessible piece of info for him to be left unnamed in the comics for nearly half a century and 400+ comic appearances.
