Not sure what Fozzie bear or a motorcycle have to do with anything . . .anarky wrote:Between the ad campaign ("If you hated last season, please come back! So, does no one give a shit about Heroes?

Even Tim Kring has said season 2 sucked balls. And I would say he's the definitive authority on Heroes.

I don't think season two sucked balls. Underwhelming, yes, but far from a train wreck. Season three seems to be picking up some slack.
Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun.

Vyn is in a minority, though. Not saying anyone's dissenting opinion is bad (even I think the short Season 2 clip I saw was better than everything I saw from Season 1), but the consensus seems to be it wasn't very good.
Oh, and, uh, I meant Fonz. Though the mental image of Fozzie Bear saying, "Hey, watch me jump a shark with my motorcycle. Wokka wokka wokka!" is a funny Freudian slip.

i think people didn't like certain aspects like peter's "missing time" and it seemed a bit slower than the first season.anarky wrote:Vyn is in a minority, though. I liked most of Season 2 as it aired, and thought the whole thing worked better on DVD, where I could watch the whole season in a week.
Maya and Alejendro were not only dragged out far too long, but served only one purpose: Sylar.
Monica and Micah were the even worse than the Mexican wonder twits. That story served absolutely no purpose.
I initially didn't like the Claire/West story also, but it wasn't bad on on DVD.
Hiro's and Peter's stories dragged on too long, but were good once they stopped dragging their feet story-wise. Once the writer's strike seemed inevitable and they realized they needed to step up the pace in the last 4-6 epsiodes of the season, things got a lot better.
After seeing the crap that had to dropped because of the last minute rewrites, I think the writer's strike was a blessing in disguise.
All in all Season 2 wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be, but it still was a step down from Season 1 and Season 3 seems to be a big step in the right direction.
