Having read the screenplay, I don't approve of making Cobra Commander a drag queen. Ripcord is all dick and fart jokes. Cobra using a fiendish Cotton Candy Machine ploy to take over the world ( and by world, I mean Springfield, which is where 80% of the movie takes place.) Snake-Eyes was better utilized in the cartoon ( and thats not saying much). The Baroness is working undercover for GIJoe, and everybody in the script is one dimensional.

This movie will suck.

You know what would make this movie AWESOME?

A live action shot for shot interpretation of the original GI Joe Cartoon opening sequence.

Is it possible GI Joe won't suck as much (or more) than Transformers?

I'm impressed. Are there any other pictures besides the Snake Eyes one?

That was the only one the site had posted. They didn't indicate there were anymore.

(Doesn't he remind you Darth Maul?)

Between that and Hama's blessing, no amount of Wayans brothers hilarity or Third Rock kids determined to rule the world can make me unexcited.

That is fucking Snake Eyes. Fucking Snake Eyes. And he's perfect.

Word.

The only thing strange is the Arashikage sigil on the outside of the uniform. They probably want to spell things out regarding his connection to Storm Shadow, which is somewhat understandable.

If I see this movie and he has a secret hideout in a water tank in Manhattan, and it's full of spike knuckled trench knives, I will officially blow my load so hard it will decapitate whoever's sitting in front of me in the theater.

Man, am I stupid to be really hoping for good things from this movie now?

I was never really "into" comics until junior high, oddly enough. Growing up, I had two heroes: Optimus Prime and Snake Eyes (who, coincidentally, starred in the two comics I did follow). Optimus Prime was royally fucked over last year (casting Peter Cullen was literally the only thing they did right in that movie). But, the more I see, the more it looks like this will be the Snake Eyes I've always wanted to see. Sure, it'll be set in the future, and he's not going to be a Vietnam vet, but, sweet God almighty, that's him. Call me insane, but those images are almost enough to bring a tear to my eye.

I wonder if it was their strategy to release all the possibly controversial info about this movie as early as possible, and, from here on out, it's all going to be like this, impressing the hell out of fans. Sort of opposite of Transformers. A lot of the casting choices were kinda "Huh? WTF?" (especially Ripcord and Cobra Commander), and there was the whole bit about it being set in the future and possibly being an international team, but, recently, everything I've seen and heard makes me giddy. Admittedly, it's only two things, but they're both big. If this keeps up, by May I'll be looking forward to this more than The Dark Knight.

The muscles on the costume ARE a little silly, let's be honest... but I guess that can easily be explained away as tailor-made, state of the art body armor that adheres to every nook and cranny of the wearer's anatomy. If that's the case, however, than I don't want any fucking package or crack shots.

Watch them pull a "Darth Maul" with him and he's in the movie for less then five minutes of screen time.

Snake Eyes, or the Darth Maul? If Snake Eyes is in the movie for less than 5 minutes - I'll be hard-pressed to spend money on a ticket. Fuck it.

Just saw the pictures of the cast. They should have got an older guy to be Duke.
