i went to a friends house-warming party yesterday, and her father was leaving just as we were arriving. he had brought over some party materials, including a corkscrew and a chafing dish. after leaving the apartment, he called back through the door "the corkscrew is in the chafing dish" which sounded a lot like a really weird codeword like "the eagle has landed" and such.

i don't know what this topic is going to turn into, but that shit had me cracking up. that's gotta go in one of my comics.
