Awesome Christopher Walken.
On a side note, one of the guys I work with went to NYC last weekend. He said he took a train ride up to the town where the Legend of Sleepy Hollow took place. I had no idea it was in New York. I thought it was somewhere in New England. He said it was great being there the weekend before Halloween.

Off-subject, but have any of you ever read the original Washington Irving "Legend of Sleepy Hollow"? It's about a page and a half, dry as hell, boring, and leaves no doubt that it was Beau Brahms (I think he's Brahms in that version) was the Horseman.
When a Disney cartoon is better than the "classic" work it's adapting, there's a problem. (I've always thought Irving was more historically significant than actually any good, and every story he wrote is better in a retold version.)

thanks!Rogue II wrote:Awesome Christopher Walken.
yeah, i drive or ride the train through it regularly. it's about 40-50 minutes north of the city. my uncle grew up there, and he and my aunt live in tarrytown which is the next town south. it's really a cool place, especially around halloween, and the covered bridge really does exist. On a side note, one of the guys I work with went to NYC last weekend. Okay, I didn't want to re-read it, since it bored me to tears years ago. The guy's name changes in a lot of the versions.
I still think Burton's version, though totally unlike the original in most respects, is the best.

agreed on burton's sleepy hollow, though when you have a feature-length film and a 50 paragraph short-story, which one do you think is going to be more fleshed-out?
