uh, y'know, the sounds that sound good together... sometimes... and sometimes sounds like the disgusting "squish squish" sound Slicker's mom makes whenever she walks

It's an odd list, no doubts there. What's essential mean, anyhow? That no collection is complete without it, I'm assuming.... well my collection is absofuckinglutely fine without the vast majority of those albums. I'm not going to do the accounting, but I'm guessing I have 26 of those records, and that's it.

EDITED: Yikes, I did the accounting (I know, I know.... piss off) and we (my wife and I) have 63 of them.

And regarding OutKast - in this humble cracker's opinion, Aquemini is a better album than Stankonia.... but I don't have ATLiens, or Southernplayalisticcadillacmusic. I was of the belief that ATLiens was a little too "out there" for most people (I think it's an outer space concept rap album, but again, I don't have it).

Awesome. Thanks for the info, jj. I'm not a huge Outkast fan, I just listen to what them there young whippersnappers say.

You should really check out the first (Andre 3000's) disc on that double album that won the grammy, CS. It's not rap so much as an excellent 80's-Prince level funky rock record. So much soul, it's scary. The other (Big Boi's) disc is fine, but it's a rap record for sure.

This list, like many others, is of course total bullshit . . . only one Queen album, and so low? A Night at the Opera is a fuckin' classic and should definitely at least be in the top 100, if not top 10.

At this point, I think they're just taking other lists and adding in a bunch of shit that sucks to be "different."
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

This stupid list was good for one thing:

Costco put out an assortment of a bunch of these for cheap, so I was finally able to pick up Synchronicity, Boston, and The Cars on CD.
