Breaking the 4th wall

For some reason (probably lack of sleep) I thought it would be hilarious if during the course of your day while you were at work, or the bank, or the grocery store, whereever, you just randomly turned to an audience that wasn't there and said things, or explained something in an expository manner. Just to see the reactions of the people around you. Don't explain what you are doing. I wonder how long one could keep that up with a straight face. The longer you did it (weeks months etc) the funnier it would become.

sometimes when my boss' annoying administrative assistant makes chortling/growling sounds at her desk, I wonder if she's doing this very same thing.
