Some guy over at JoBlo.com saw the costume and while he couldn't post a pic, he described it well enough that some people did artwork and he picked the most accurate ones.
While it isn't 'jizz in my pants' accurately awesome as the Iron Man armor, I'm not gonna whine like a fanboy because I realize that big red buccaneer boots would look quite nancy on the bigscreen. Especially if it's a down and dirty WWII flick. I will note that Captain America is known for his acrobatic fighting style, and having a heavy steel WWII helmet strapped to a gymnast's head wreaks havoc with his balance and mobility.
The needle on my Fanboy Respons-o-meter is tilting towards 'cool' and away from 'lame' but it's certainly not getting buried at this point.

If no rubber ears on the costume, I'm not in.

Rumor has it the Red Skull isn't Italian in this one, so you're screwed twice.

Damn! I suppose they're going to actually try to make him look like he has a red skull for a head, aren't they?

I dunno. Hugo Weaving's misshapen head might be good enough with just a coat of red finger paint. Throw in some of those black contacts and it might work.

Regardless of how he looks, Hugo Weaving is awesome. Even discounting how fucking awful the "Transformers" movies were, who can claim the nerd cred of being in The Matrix, Transformers, Lord of the Rings, V for Vendetta, and Captain America?
I don't see a costume that isn't covered up in leather.
Isn't that what they did with the 1990 movie where he was wearing a trenchcoat over his uniform for 95% of the film becuase the filmmakers thought the red, white and blue was to "garish"?

In Rollo's post up there, it looks like Captain America and Evangeline Lilly are looking at the same thing.
