NEW YORK (Billboard) – Guns N' Roses made a surprise New York concert appearance Thursday night as part of a Fashion Week party at the John Varvatos store in Manhattan. The band, whose only original member is singer Axl Rose, played a nearly two-hour set on the small stage in the space that was once home to legendary rock club CBGBs.

According to Internet reports, the band played a 17-song set that included selections from nearly every Guns N' Roses album, including hits like "Paradise City," "Sweet Child o' Mine," "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Patience." The band also played several songs from its most recent album, "Chinese Democracy," which sold seventeen copies worldwide and can be found on clearance at every Best Buy on Earth.
"It was fun playing an unannounced show for a crowd that totally just expected some local garage band," said the band's current guitarist, Lenny Flantdig. "There were about fifteen times as many people as come to our announced shows!" Five minutes after Flantdig made this statement, Axl fired the entire band and hired three stuffed rabbits and a rotted log in their place, promising the press that the new lineup was "the best in the world" and they'd be releasing a groundbreaking new album in a month... or maybe twenty years, who knows?
