so, i have to admit that i had the same level of disappointment with this film as i did with the first upon initial viewing: that it just doesn't really adapt the source material all that well. the unfortunate thing is i didn't leave the theater with the same high of having seen one of my favorite comic characters on the big screen for the first time.

however, like the initial installment, i know i will grow to love this one just as much if not moreso, upon multiple viewings. there are some characterizations that just don't mesh with my view of the world these characters live in, but the story was actually more fun than the first one.

I'm gonna have to try and make to see HB2 by Friday or it'll probably have to wait a few weeks, with X-Files and Step Brothers on Friday.

I liked HB2 fine, but to be honest, "The Dark Knight" has pretty much made me forget about it. And pretty much every other superhero movie this summer.

i saw them both this weekend, TDK on friday and HB2 this afternoon. while i enjoyed both, seriously, nothing this summer has overshadowed the amount of fun i had at iron man.

I loved "Iron Man", but for me it'll have to settle for second this year.

HB2 was as good as the first one, but I'm with G2, after seeing TDK, it's "just another comic book movie" now.

Pre-pubescent Hellboy was lame.

Johann was great. Especially the voice. Seth McFarlane.

And what's with Guillermo's obsession with creating characters whose eyes aren't on their face?

Did this Guillermo guy design any of the characters in Pan's Labrynth?

um... yes. ostensibly all of them, seeing as how he wrote and directed and produced the film ;)

Yeah, well...Can you tell I never read the credits? I thought the creatures looked similar.

I just saw Rollo's comment about eyes not being on the head and the first thing that came to mind was Pan's Labrynth.
