Is there some kind of quota...

...in Colored People movies? I saw TWO trailers at the movie theatre this weekend, one was calledWelcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins and the other was called This Christmas or some shit like that, and between the two movies, I think Hollywood has exhausted their supply of colored actors and actresses. There was like upwards of thirty colored folk in each one. Why can't Hollywood just make a movie with one or two or maybe four of them in it. Movies like Barber Shop, The Wood, Best Man, Dreamgirls, etc have dozens of darkies in them. What is the deal? I demand answers. Don't think I'm not onto the liberal propagandist bias behind these films. It makes me sick.

Aside from the disgusting racism in your post, I read a while back it was due to the success of Tyler Perry's movies (which Double_G is a big fan of). Apparently, these made the studios realize that movies by blacks, starring blacks can do well, and they ordered more.

I'm not drawing any conclusions, but considering that there's Tyler Perry, Spike Lee, and the idiots who make movies like Soul Plane and How to Be a Player and Two Can Play That Game, my hopes aren't too high.

What racism? It's not like I called them negroes or African Americans. I resent the tone of your obvious liberal bias, but your answer makes sense. Leave it to the Jews to figure out the financial value of "those people". Am I right?

I sincerely hope a rare and painful type of cancer claims your balls and anus before it claims your life, and you spend weeks in pain as the shit backs up into your body until you burst like a shit balloon.

Sort of off-topic, but why is it that all movies that only feature black people suck ass? There's only one that I can think of that was any good, and that's "Boyz N The Hood". "Friday" was funny, but due to its shitty sequels, it lost its credibility. But the rest, like "Soul Plane" and "Barbershop" and "Booty Call"? All garbage. Why? Because Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman aren't in any of them. Those brothas can act.

Another thing I'm coming to realize....

Tyler Perry is a fucking racist.

There is not a single white person (or even hispanic or asian, for that matter) in any of his movies. I mean, at least "Sould Plane" had Tom Arnold in it representing whitey. And it pisses me off that he's rich as fuck because of them. Who are all the fucktards that are seeing these movies anyway?

"I'm Gonna Get You, Sucka!" was pretty good. "CB4" wasn't bad either, but I haven't seen it in years.

"Hollywood Shuffle" had some funny bits in it too. And nothing with Rudy Ray Moore in it sucks much except maybe "Avenging Disco Godfather", which has some issues- like they obviously bought up a shitload of kinda "spoiled" film to shot it on, and they semingly didn't have enough of it to re-shoot some SERIOUSLY flawed scenes, like where there's a citizens rally about getting tough on PCP in their neighborhoods with the slogan "Attack the Wack" but fomr some reason when someone tries to start a chant, they accidentally say "wack the Attack" and everyone else in the scene has this "Shit man, you done FUCKED that up GOOD" look on their faces, but they try to cover it up pretty hard and press on- I do believe half of the film was cutting room floor material, but in such a film it kinda works.

I saw the remake of Death at a Funeral a week or two ago and it wasn't nearly as horrid as it looked.
I expected at least 15 jokes about white people. There was only one or two IIRC, and they weren't offensive.

And shockingly it appears the filmmakers have some respect for the black community, as it wasn't all Tyler Perry-esque or Gangsta'd up.
