Holy shit! Now THIS is real ultimate power!

There was a cool ass program on the National Geographic Channel last night called Fight Science. Basically, it used cutting-edge technology to gauge the relative impact of strikes in various schools of martial arts, and set out to prove or disprove many legends about martial artists, particularly ninjas.
Now, I know ninjas are pretty fucking nasty if they want to be. But they also loved to propogate the myths that sprung up around them. Proving the almost superhuman balance didn't surprise me, but there was one legend I expected to be disproven easily: the death punch.
So an American ninja master, who knew the technique in theory but dare not use it on an actual human, delivered the punch to a crash test dummy full of sensors. The punch looked kind of haphazard, almost like an afterthought. But the sensors determined it struck with more force than most strong men could deliver with a baseball bat, and hit a crucial nerve center in the torso. Essentially, it compresses the nerve center, which tells the brain the heart is overloading. The brain tells the heart to slow down, but the heart isn't really overloading, so the order to slow ends up stopping the heart.
In other words, a ninja really can kill you with one punch. Dude, who needs all the bullshit when that part's real?
Here's a pic.
