Other than KH?
I'm just curious. I tried to watch it and found it extraordinarily slow on action, but without the character development to make up for it. I've been told it got better, but it's the sort of episodic serialized show I couldn't pick up now if I wanted. And, besides, everyone who watches it seems to like Lost, and I think that's the fucking stupidest show ever, period, end of discussion, yes, even dumber than that spinoff from Golden Girls with all of them but Bea Arthur.
Just thought it seemed odd that most of us are superhero fanboys, and the only vynsaniac I know of who watches it is KH (the least superhero fanboyish of us all).

I still have the ability to watch the first 11 or so episodes, but haven't bothered. I will check out the first few at some point, then make a decision as to whether or not I'm going to get on board with this. Heard lots of good things though, and from non-comic-geek places (which is kind of what you said, Anarky).

The one I saw was less character development than "here's a laundry list of dudes with powers--don't they look cool!"
It wasn't even like The Sopranos, where the first episode is hella weak, but there's just enough in it to make you watch the second, which hooks you on the entire series. Here, I was just like, "Okay, that guy can fly. Whoop-dee-frigging-doo. Isn't Antiques Roadshow on in this time slot? I think I'll try to catch that instead next week."

And Antiques Roadshow. Can't forget that.
Though since Dan Elias isn't on anymore, there's no reason to watch. I always thought the funniest fucking thing ever would be if Dan Elias suddenly was attacked by a bear and engaged in an old-timey boxing match.

Re: So, does no one give a shit about Heroes?
I still owe the writers a kick in the balls for fucking up Japanese history and mythology so incredibly bad, and yet doing it so "high profile" that Americans everywhere will believe this shit. Fucking samurai battles in 1671? Why the fuck didn't the annoying squeaky douchebag go to a Civil War battle in 1912? That'd actually be more accurate. And maybe he'd get a bullet in the head, and I wouldn't have to watch that commercial with that fucking scene of him squealing like a schoolgirl getting buggered by a gorilla anymore. "I can squeal like a schoolgirl! My show deserves to last longer than Arrested Development or Deadwood!"
I tried again to watch, and again got bored. I guess this will just be for me like Lost or Buffy or Battlestar Galactica, where everyone keeps telling me how good it is and how stupid I am for not liking it, but I'd rather wash dishes or something at that time instead.
