man, i love argyle socks. but, i can't find them anymore, and all the ones i have either have large holes in them, or have the beginnings of large holes in them. why aren't they available anymore? is there some sort of argyle shortage?

Argyle socks are the ones most favored by the sock monster. The oe who steals the odd sock in the night. Or from the washing machine. You take a pair off or put a pair into the machine and when you come to get them there's just one left.... Why? the sock monser took the sock that's why. Apparently there's a pile of socks at the North pole where the sock monster lives....

I read that somewhere. It's true.

that's what i've heard. also, i heard somewhere that all the left socks go to the north pole, and all the right socks go to the SOUTH pole. the sock monsters are very good at knowing which ones are which...

Don't you like live down the street from "the sock factory" or something. I haven't been there in years, but I would bet they have argyle socks (probably hot off the back of a truck too) That place has socks for too little money...it shouldn't be...its not natural.

Wasn't Argyle the name of the guy in the Garfield cartoons who left Odie with John Arbuckle? He showed up in the earlier strips (circa 78-79) and then just kinda dissappeared. He had a big ugly mustache and I wondered if maybe he and John Arbuckle had experimented in college.

Speaking of Garfield (screw you and your Argyle thread...I'll talk about whatever the hell I fell like.) who remembers Nermal?
