Yep. Found out December 26th & delayed mentioning it because it was a big surprise for everyone involved & there was a bit of discussion about exactly which path to take. It looks like they have decided to keep & raise the baby which is a relief - I would have supported her either way, but the other (perfectly valid of course) choice would have weighed heavily on everyone, me included.

Thank you. I'm pushing hard for "Pedro" to be in the naming someplace, even if it's a girl. Not sure how much traction I'm gaining but I won't rest.

I'd say you're making me feel old, but I got over that when I had younger friends become grandparents, something like ten years ago.

Grandparents seem ancient when you’re a little kid, but most people become grandparents in their forties.
