$77 for a trailer?

It's a third-party item. That's why it's so much. It's armor to put on the Classics Ultra Magnus (a white repaint of Prime) to make him look more like the original. For some reason, Hasbro would rather some other company make money by doing this. I cannot understand their logic.

TRU out here has the new Universe line. I saw Sunstreaker and Prowl and some other one. All I really cared about was Prowl, but I didn't get it because there is a card show here this weekend. There are only 5 card shows here a year and they are one of my few chances of getting decent hockey cards without buying them online. But Prowl will be mine. Oyes. It will be mine.

Those Classics look great. I also saw Animated Grimlock and almost bought the big goofy bastard.

I have a bad feeling that it's going to wind up at my house, too.

I got Onslaught and Masterpiece Megatron. Both are sweet as hell, though I've not transformed Megatron yet. (He looks too cool just standing there.)

I pre-ordered Powerglide, too.

I saw Powerglide in a store this weekend when I bought Prowl. I remember it because it made sounds. There was also a Blaster, but it appears he transforms into some sort of airplane now. Another store had some new animated series Transformers, including Snarl, Soundwave (who appeared to be a Scion), and a few others. I almost bought that Snarl.

Prowl does not transform the same way that the original did. It is a pain in the butt and I found out quickly that the door/front fender piece pops on and off quite easily.

Blaster's a repaint of Soundwave from some other line. He looks accurate in robot mode. I'm considering getting him and pretending the space-plane is his Cybertronian alt-mode. :)

Transformers Universe 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime with DVD

$70? I know it is KB, but that seems like a lot of cash.

Yeah, they showed that at Comic-Con and I thought that it was a total fucking waste. That much for a reissue figure (which has been reissued, what, six times in the past ten years?), a reprint of the first issue of the comic (which wasn't especially good, and in no way stands on its own), and the DVD. I know they want to reissue the shows with toys, but that's a really shitty way to reissue Transformers, compared to the excellent, relatively cheap GIJoe sets.

Hasbro's new "If-you-want-the-DVDs-you-need-to-buy-all-these-extra-toys" approach to fucking over fans makes me glad I got all the Transformers season sets back in the day. And I just snagged G.I.Joe Season 1 Part 1 for $48 with shipping on ebay. I already have S1P2.

But at least $20 for five episodes, a MASS Device component, and four figures (on average) is a much better deal than $70 for three episodes and a 25-year-old figure.

I was unaware of this, but it gives me a boner, and, no, the Joker has not edited this post.

I am soooo close to breaking down and getting those Sunstreaker and Prowl Classics, so I can have them when the Ironhide and Hound come out. Since the Alternators are kaput, I CRAVE G1 figures.
