I looked at some of the pictures last night. There are quite a few resculpts, but some of them needed it. Don't have a problem with the Bespin Guards or Ewoks. Others, like the 2 you mentioned, I don't get. I'm assuming that Ten Numb is just a red version of the Evolutions one (Nine Numb?). There are other figures that need to be updated, like Dr. Evazan & Walrusman. The Dewback did look kind of cool. I might get it depending on the price.

Who the hell at hasbro are picking the cantina aliens? They picked some alien chick I've only seen in behind the scenes photos instead that tan alien with horns and round black eyes. (Sorry, don't feel like looking up names right now).

The funeral Pyre thing was kind of cool. I didn't notice the "Concept Only" thing. Bastards. Hasbro is probably just using the funeral pyre vader to get fanboys to blow them.

The horned guy is Bom Vimdim. (I've seen N's in place of one or both M's in the last name and am not sure what's right.) Why do I remember his name? Oh yeah! He's been one of the most highly requested figures for going on TEN YEARS!

I actually would've preferred one ten years ago. He would've looked great in the POTJ line. Nowadays, they'll try to put too many stupid joints on him, and he'll also likely be too skinny if they make him. I like articulation, but, man, sometimes it looks like shit, and a guy with a split second of screen time doesn't need to be displayed in a full-on ninja pose.

V, I was the same way about exclusives. I'm going to see if Entertainment Earth (or someone else) has the online exclusive Joes so I don't have to pay shipping, and see if the dude who had a fairly cheap Masterpiece Megatron without orange plugs last year might have Grimlock.

I thought it was Bom V-something, but wasn't sure. Funny you should mention the POTJ line. When I first moved here, there was a toy collector store in a plaza near my house called "Toys in the Attic". Then name stuck out because of the Aerosmith reference. They moved out a few years ago and never cared where they went. Last weekend, we were driving around and I found their new location. They had all of their SW carded figure inventory along one wall in order by line. It was cool to see it displayed like that. I strolled through and got to POTJ line and remembered how much I liked that one because of the quality. The current line seems to always have something wrong with it, like paint, thickness, and ugly articulation. In one of the Comic Con pics, I saw part of the Slave Leia. She looked like a skinny version of Yarna because of the articulation joints.

The only Comic Con exclusives I would have bought were the Soundwave w/ Laserbeak, Ravage, and one other tape for $50. That looked like a good deal since the TRU version goes for more than that. Hasbro's site is supposed to have the Little Pet exclusive figure. There wasn't a picture on the site I was looking at, but it is supposed to be a superhero cat. I'm sure my wife and daughers will want it.

There's a comic shop in Escondido, in the mall, that's in a different spot in the mall every time I go (about every six months). They haven't gotten any new Star Wars figures since 2000. But they still have all the ones they had then, at the same insane prices.

When I walked into that Toys in the Attic store the first time a few years ago, I actually laughed when I saw their price stickers. The prices seemed more reasonable now.

Looked at the Comic Con presentation. It is weird because I'm not excited and I'm not disappointed.

ROTJ wave - A couple odd choices. The build-a-droids are pretty cool.

ANH wave - Other than the Jawa with the droid, I'm not really thrilled with this wave.

ESB wave - Not bad, but why another AT-AT driver? Obviously this is a collector wave not geared for kids, why not Toryn Farr? (or whatever that female hoth rebel's name was).

Not much else interested me. Maybe the Corran Horn 2-pack or the Evolutions pilots #3 (if Kidhuman finds that walmart's website has them on clearance). Is there anything new in that Endor Battle Pack?

Screw the Dewback. I'm not paying $30 for it.

The AT-ST looks nice, but it is probably more money than I want to spend. I think I'm done buying vehicles.

Isn't BG-J38 the droid from Jabba's palace? Why the hell are they making him part of the 2010 EU/video game wave? They should have swapped him im with HK-50 from the ESB wave. Oh well.

The Sullustan pilot looks to be a red-suited Ten Numb, as he appeared in the movie. So far, they've made two white-suited versions, as I think he looks like that in the comics. There's also the generic "Sullustan pilot" from the POTJ B-wing, but it's just a repaint of the Ten Numb from the 1998 cinema scene. So, even though there are too many of him (and we still don't have a good Nien Nunb), at least they finally made a screen-accurate one.

Ran, in the Endor pack (I'm assuming you mean the one with Luke, the Imperial, and the Ewok on the hang glider), the Ewok is at least partly new. It's Warok, meaning they're one closer to completing the vintage Ewok lineup (I think only Lumat is left, and there's that idiotic retcon issue there.) Also, the Imperial guy is a different head sculpt from the 2008 Endor pack, so it's not amazing but it's something.

The correct spelling of the cantina guy is Bom Vimdin. I thought they said he'd be coming this year? I guess not.

Most of the selections had been leaked or rumored, so there wasn't really a lot that jumped out at me. I like it and will get it but I was hoping for more surprises.

Thanks for the info. I guess that means the Endor set is a definite maybe. I haven't been paying attention to the leaks and rumors so most of this stuff was news to me.

The slide says "Nien Nunb". Isn't he the one that flew the Falcon with Lando?

Somehow I ended up with 2 Nien Nunbs from the POTF2 line. Must have picked up the 2nd when I bought a SW figure lot on Ebay.

"Ten Nunb" came with in the Evolutions pack I got. http://www.rebelscum.com/tlcEVORebelPilots1.asp
He was also part of the POTF2 Cinema Scene. http://www.rebelscum.com/POTF2rebelpilots.asp

The POTJ B-Wing just came with a "Sullustan Pilot". http://www.rebelscum.com/potjbwing.asp

Damn, that hood looks ginormous on Paploo.

But yeah, Nien Nunb is the one who co-pilots the Falcon. He wears a red suit with a black vest, and has that little hat thing. He's never seen outside the Falcon.
Image

Ten Numb is the other Sullustan seen in ROTJ, in both the briefing and celebration scenes. There, he has a red suit (much like Nien Nunb), but instead of a vest, he has the B-wing flight gear, like the new figure has (and it's the same as the human B-wing pilot gear). Apparently, there was a preproduction picture of him wearing a white version of the same suit that became the basis for his appearance in a few action figures and in the comics. As far as I know, he is never seen in the film in the white suit.
Image

It's easy to confuse the two, but the main difference is the gear they have on. So, yeah, that's a figure of Ten Numb that they mistakenly labeled as Nien Nunb; hopefully it will be corrected before release.

Actually, they said at the panel that they wanted to do the red-suited one, checked with LFL, and were told it was Nien. He apparently was a B-Wing pilot until chosen by Lando (for reasons unseen) to co-pilot the Falcon.

Must've been a badass starfighter pilot to outclass Wedge. Or Lando knew Wedge was more valuable in an X-Wing than playing second fiddle on a freighter.

You could say the same thing about most Luke figures. Blame Mark Hamill for having a weird head.

That's weird, but interesting. So now they're going to screw us out of a good vest-wearing Nien Nunb for a few more years. Fuck that.

Double post, double dick in Grimlock's ass, etc.

Is anyone besides me and anarky planning on voting in the most wanted figures poll? Could either of us persuade you to vote for our own most-wanted figures anyway? :D

If they are OT figures, sure. :robocop:
