Rebelscum use that fucking blue background and whoever it is taking the pics always gets the colour balance wrong. He does have a khaki brown/greeny hue though.
I'm guessing it's a factory error. mismatched plastic chips to pantone colour. Those chinese factories don't seem to getting anything right these days. mind you with all the job cuts over there in the orient I'm not surprised that products have a lacklustre finish to them. they now have a tiny workforce producing everything for everyone.
I keep hearing reports on BBC world service about workforces packing up and heading back to their villages and towns. Hasbro needs to find somewhere else to get stuff made fast before the chinese economy is too fucked up.

I can't watch American news. It's too shouty. unless it's that news channel where the anchors strip naked.

It's kinda funny to flip back and forth between Olbermann and Hannity, hoping somehow that your constant flipping will put them onto one channel through some cosmic mixup, and they fight.
JJL, I didn't mean his features were African-American, but the color is way off. I mean it, I wouldn't buy a white Vader, so I'm not buying a black Talon Karrde.

Right, okay. But with the non-black features and brown skin, he looked more Hispanic to me, as the character always has (and still does, despite the pictures with Zahn). Maybe they're just over-compensating for the young Boba, Bail, and Breha figures they've made over the years who are all mysteriously caucasian?

Pacific Islander to white is less a color issue than white to black.

And all the Breha figures I've seen are actually darker than the actress who plays her... and look suspiciously more like "Tusken Captive Shmi" than Breha.

Er, wait, I forgot that there's apparently a color variant to Bail and Breha. I meant the original pasty ones, then.

I saw the Talon Karrde comic pack yesterday. He looks Hispanic or possibly Persian in color. His skin color is the same as his jacket.
RS has the Hasbro Toy Fair coverage slides. The ESB wave looks ok. I'm still not sure about the Luke, but the cyborg arm thing is kind of cool. The Emperor isn't as bad as I thought. The Ugnaughts and Hoth Rebels aren't bad either. Are there really 2 Hoth rebels or does he come with 2 heads? When you buy both variations of Ugnaught (or Rebel), do you end up with an extra piece of the build-a-droid?
It didn't seem like there was much other new stuff. I still want that Yavin set. It also looke like there was a Coran Horn/green R2 2-pack. I might get that one, then again, I said the same thing about the Rebel Pilot Evolutions and haven't bought that yet.
There was some cool Galactic Hero stuff, but my kids just don't seem interested in that line. So, there is not need to buy it. Tonight I'll try to find the coverage on GI Joe, Transformers, and probably end up searching for Little Pet coverage.

My wife likes those things almost as much as our kids.

According to the slides, the second version of the soldier and Ugnaught will be separate figures altogether, not a two-pack or extra head in the pack or anything. I wish the Ugnaughts were a two-pack but I'm glad that the soldier will be in two versions as opposed to just having an extra head sitting around (as is implied by the loose shots from Toy Fair). So, yeah, they're going to have redundant droid parts.

They're finally making young Owen and Beru, Corran Horn, Rum Sleg, and a Yuuzhan Vong. This makes me happy.

As I said on the other site, I'm fucking pumped for a great deal of this year's offerings, especially the TPM and AOTC waves and the Clone Wars stuff. I want to make love to that Y-wing.

It's seriously a fucking mail away? First they don't have it in the states and now they know they have people by the balls for it so they're gonna have a dumb ass contest.
