Re: star wars
The only EU I like is stuff in the vein of Tag and Bink are dead. Star Wars tales comic where the stories are full of humour and not intended to be taken as canon in any way shape or form..
everything else is really gay.

Re: star wars
There's some good stuff mixed in. Anything from Luceno, Zahn, Watson, Stackpole, or Allston that's not connected to NJO/Legacy is gold. Unfortunately, there's more bad, and Hasbro seems to be focusing on the bad.

Re: star wars
I just saw another picture of the upcoming emperor. It's not as bad as the first picture I saw. The Hoth Rebel seems ok, but his hat doesn't seem to fit quite right. Ben Kenobi is ok, but has a big ass hood.

Re: star wars
I just don't understand why anyone would want a figure of old woman emperor with chimpanzee eyes.
I'm going through my star wars stuff at the moment (well not right this moment) having a final sort through the stuff i'm keeping and the stuff I'm getting rid of. I'm down to one plastic storage crate and a small box now. So i guess I'm now a specialist collector coz i only kept stuff from tatooine. can't actually remember the last time i bought any figures. there's a few i still want but i kinda begrudge paying the same price for one of these tiny figures that i do for dr who figures.
i'm getting too old for this.

Damn, that's a good price. I'm hopin' that I'm able to find one for a low price when I go home next month (along with an AT-TE)

The other day I saw a new Star Wars Potato Head: The Clone Tuber.
Its the Spudtrooper with a different helmet.

Re: star wars
Found the Ben Kenobi, Stormtrooper Luke and Stormtrooper Han today. The ROTJ-cut scene Luke had the head for the yellow R5. Does it come with any of the other figure? I don't really want to buy that Luke.

Re: star wars
Yes, it comes with the Spacetrooper (I think; the other three you got have the other parts, right?). Again, you never, ever have to buy older figures to get the new parts. If it's not the Spacetrooper, then it's one of the aliens; I know the humans all have pieces to make one droid and the aliens have the pieces to make the other.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Re: star wars
Cool. Han and Luke came with the R5's legs. Kenobi came with some R2-L6 leg. It occured to me as I was checking out; with the price increase on basic figures, $21 for those Evolutions isn't quite as bad as I thought. Any idea where R2-L6 is from?
Re: star wars
Up until the ANH wave, I haven't been excited for an entire wave in a long time. Last figures I bought were Bane and Yarna, so I'm antsy to get the ANH stuff, but it isn't here, just a bunch of clone wars and I assume EU stuff still.
