I watched Snow White and the Huntsman the other day and Super Troopers tonight.
Snow White was fucking horrible. Besides boring as fuck, the audience is supposed to believe that Kristen Stewart is more beautiful than Charlize Theron? Was this written on bIZZARO world?
And Super Troopers is just a classic.

You make me want to watch Super Troopers again. Right now.

The fact that Charlize Theron is capable of expressions makes her hotter than Kristen Stewart.

And the fact that Kristen Stewart defines the words plain, average, boring and overrated.

Amazing Spider-Man. I had the lowest of expectations going in & was, of course, delighted. I was actually verklempt a good 2-3 times during this movie, as silly as it was.

I've been downloading and catching up with this season of Game of Thrones. I'll finish up with episodes 8, 9 and 10 tomorrow.
I have good feeling things are going to work out for everyone at the Tulley/Frey Wedding.

Roose Bolton pulls a pretty good prank at the end.

Did you know the library had DVDs you can borrow? Like books??! I did not know that. Eff RedBox. I checked Amazing Spidey out and Rewatched it a few times. I get verklempt during the crane scene. It's because Spidey is New York's Hero. So when New York helps Spidey in movies I get choked up. Like in the first film when the people start chucking wrenches and Chinese food at the Goblin. "You mess with one of us, you mess with all of us." Serious throat lumpies.
Yesterday I wanted to watch a July 4th-centric film. iD4 seemed a little too on the nose, so I watched
Die Hard 4, which is set during the July 4th weekend. Did a good job keeping up with the spirit of the first 3 films. The 5th one does not. Tim Olyphant is a good villain. And that parkour henchman had some crazy moves.
Also went to
Monsters U. Pedestrian story about the underdog frat house winning the college competition to get respect and to not get kicked out of school. I laughed like three times I think.

Haven't watched this one yet. I have trouble figuring out how they can tell the story when the audience knows the entire monster world is based on a lie. The heroes either have to look retarded or they come across as bad guys since we know the truth.
Counting sequels by Disney and not Pixar, there are at least seven Pixar sequels out or coming soon (Toy Story 2, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Monsters University, Planes, and Finding Dory). They only have ten non-sequel movies, with three more announced.
And the only fucking one that demanded a sequel, The Incredibles, has nothing.
Pixar, you're running on steam and it makes me sad. You were once so damned great.

Pfft. Bit Torrent.
The last month:
Side Effects - Pretty good mystery.
Game of Thrones Season 3 - Awesome as always.
Movie 43 - Fucking terrible. I chuckled once or twice.
Warm Bodies - Not as bad as it looked...but still not good.
Breaking Bad Season 5 - One of the best tv shows ever.
This Is The End - Funny shit.
Jack the Giant Slayer - Crap. I expect more from Bryan Singer.
Kingpin - Classic.
The Maxx - The Mtv comic series. Pretty disjointed.
Man of Steel - I'm not in the hater camp.
Hot Rod - The recent talk here made me want to rewatch it.
Despicable Me - The Minions are fucking hilarious. Want to see DM2.
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls - The rhino scene always gets me.
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope - You've probably never heard of it.
World War Z - Good, but adds nothing new to the zombie genre.
Odd Thomas - Unreleased (so far) adapation of the Koontz novel with Anton Yelchin and Willam Dafoe. Not bad, but I think it'd make a better tv series.
Phantom - David Duchovny and Ed Harris are Russians aboard a nuclear sub. Meh.
Spring Breakers - Even the tits couldn't make this piece of shit watchable.
The Incredible Burt Wonderstone - Swing and a miss. Had potential.
42 - Hear Han Solo and Wash drop the notorious N-word.
Olympus Has Fallen - Popcorn "terrorists attack the White House" flick with Gerard Butler (and not Channing Tatum).
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters - Meh. Better than Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

Ironically, Planes isn't a Pixar film. It's just a straight up Disney Animated film like Wreck-It Ralph. I realize that since the Pixar guys were put in charge of ALL of Disney's animation stuff the line has been blurred somewhat. But it was something I noticed when watching the trailer for Planes. Pixar isn't mentioned.

Yeah, that and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command are sequels to Pixar movies that aren't made by Pixar. It's a Cars sequel/tie-in. Weird, eh?

Is the Buzz Lightyear film a CG film or is it old school 2D animation?

2D. It came out ten years or so ago. Not even sure if it's still available. I just looked it up, and it was intended as a pilot to a 2D TV show I didn't even know had existed. (I didn't count the Mater's Tall Tales, but this looks like it was a movie first, then a show, so I'd still count it as a movie sequel.)
