I quoted it, and I can't think of any other accessories he needs apart from the dais. The old one has the pipe, bowl, and railing. I won't lose sleep if I don't get those little pillows. We're getting a Leia that can lie down soon, if the end result looks like the concept art.

While watching all six movies yesterday, I realized there aren't really any "gotta have that" figures anymore, aside from Cliegg Lars (since Owen and Beru are coming this year apparently). That was a weird feeling, actually. There are still updates to older figures to be done but I can't see the line going too much longer without them scaling way back the number of figures they make in a year.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Considering the dais is just a rectangle with weathering and three knobs, it's pretty bad that we've not gotten it. Who would buy a "beast assortment" sized Jabba that included the damn dais instead of another Han?

There's six gargoyle heads round the dias. But you're right about it being just a rectangle slab with some grooves on it. They could easily do it with just two new molded pieces.

At SSG we posed the question about a Jabba with some sort of internal skeleton with a rubber skin over the top like the LOTR beasts so the figure could have a swishy tail and decent articulation without compromising the look of jabba with clumsy joints and hasbro said it was an interesting idea. I doubt they'd go that route though. citing costs. if they layed off the fucking stupid ideas like this new infinities darth maul and other clown faced EU figures they'd have the budget to do good stuff.

Seriously. I don't care what any of those fucktards say, the OT is more popular than that fucking shit EU will EVER be. I'm fed up with them catering to fucking EU fanboys by making sheer garbage when there really is a lot of OT they can still cover. And I'm sick of the "well, they have the liscense until 20-whenever so they have to space it out". Then why don't they fucking space that EU shit out? :frus:

If they're going to go EU, there's stuff that actually makes some fucking sense. Sure, they can slap a fucking Tessek head on a Palpatine body and make Darth EvenChuxHasNeverHeardOfThisFucker, but do more people want that or, say, the fucking Corran Horn figure everyone's asked for for thirteen years now? Who out there wouldn't buy Chewie's family or some new Cantina aliens, no matter how bad the Holiday Special was?

I thought it was three gargoyle heads. I was thinking of the vintage dais. And, you know what? They could just plop Jabba down on that one with a new paint job. We shouldn't have to resort to eBay to get all this shit. Selling Jabba without a dais is like selling Luke without his pants. Well, not counting bacta tank Luke.

You know what the deal is with that Visionaries Maul? Visionaries was a SHITTY collection of stories written and drawn by the concept artists. Cyborg Maul was a sketch that some artist did, which was shot down even by one such as Lucas. So he wrote a story about him. There's a reason most concept artists draw what they're told and don't tell the story. This was dumb major piece of shit about how Maul never died (despite the pit he fell into repeatedly being called a "melting pit" for a reactor). He got out and rebuilt himself into this cyborg, then grew those fucking horns, never mind no other Zabrak has horns like that. He hunted Obi-Wan across the galaxy, killing Watto and the Polis Massans, until he found him hanging out with Owen, apparently enjoying some beers. He's kicking the shit out of Obi-Wan when Owen shoots him with a shotgun. Then Owen tells Obi-Wan to never come back, and it's supposed to be the origin of the bad blood that seems to be there in the OT.

There are fucking fanboys who not only think the design looks good, but the story is awesome, and it's canon. Apparently at least one of them works for Hasbro.

Meanwhile, Padme's royal closet is fucking empty, and the Ewoks are all dead because Teek couldn't save them from the Marauders... wait, there are no Marauders, so I guess the Ewoks are fine, but they're going to have a lot of work killing the Empire with nine whole fucking Ewoks.

I got really excited for the first time today in awhile when I saw the Galactic Heroes AT-At box from the Canadian Toy Fair.

Please tell me that those are NOT the origins of that Maul and the bad blood in the OT? Wow, these "Star Wars" fans are getting worse and worse by the month.

It's not part of anyone's canon, and was never meant to be. As far as I know, Maul was never, ever supposed to come back, not even in the earliest drafts of AOTC. The bad blood between Owen and Obi-Wan has nothing to do with that. It's just a comic that was supposed to be fun and have no bearing on the overall story whatsoever. But the Maul was from the story and it was pretty much as anarky said (though he added the beers part, of course).

I can almost guarantee that they brought back General Grievous. I just need one of you EU readers to prove me correct.

Oh yeah?
Well then, why did I read numerous plot summaries back in late 1999 that said not only would Darth Maul be back in Episode II, but he would also be a clone (or clones, depending on which version you read) and he would be yellow and black this time?

I know the info was true because: 1) it came from an "insider" and 2) I read it on the internet.

I read that Maul came back as a woman so that must mean that Maul IS Mon Mothma.

See Maul comes back as mon mothma and tricks the rebels all along so they end up coming out of hyperspace and find the death star II shields are still up and the imperials waiting for them. which is hella kewl.

I didn't say it was intended to be canon that Maul returned, but there are a lot of fanboys who think it is (or should be) because it's kewl he was a robot.

And, yes, Slick, the EU did bring Grievous back.
A partial rebirth
Main article: N-K Necrosis

"Am I more in fact than just a droid? Am I alive, and perhaps… even the reincarnation of Grievous?"
―N-K Necrosis's thoughts[src]

Following the Declaration of a New Order, clone troopers recovered Grievous's body, transporting it and his captured starfighter to one of Emperor Palpatine's secret storehouses on Utapau. There it would remain to collect dust for years, until the cyberneticist Nycolai Kinesworthy used the body of the Confederacy's greatest general for the N-K Project, to create the highly advanced droid N-K Necrosis.[36]

This war droid enjoyed a brief life in the Myyydril Caverns on Kashyyyk, before being destroyed by an anonymous group of spacers. The combatants looted the droid's remains, taking its weaponry and anything else they deemed valuable.[36]

Legacy

The cyborg's face mask ended up on the Invisible Market after N-K Necrosis's demise, where it would be purchased for its artistic properties by a high-ranking Imperial admiral—purported to be none other than Grand Admiral Thrawn.[5] As of 25 ABY, Grievous had entered into his species' religious pantheon, and was worshiped as a deity on Kalee.[1] He was remembered by the citizens of the wider galaxy as a brilliant commander, and a merciless enemy.[37]
I think it's from some shit videogame. That's the first I've heard of Thrawn buying his head. Doesn't make sense--it's not art.

I'm really speechless. I love how they kill nobodys like Maul and GG and bring 'em back but Chewie dies and that's that. He doesn't come back. FUCK I hate fanboys...and the EU...except for SOTE and the Tales from books...
