Fuck me for picking it up for three times that price two weeks ago.

Where the hell do you see Tropic Thunder for $6.99?
It isn't in the first link and the second link says $22.99.

Must've been an error earlier, because it's $22.99 on my computer now, too, and I know it was $6.99 this morning. I wonder if they would've had to have given it to me if I'd ordered it at $6.99, or if they'd come back and say it was really $22.99.
More cheap finds: Costco has a lot of unadvertised "instant rebates" on DVD sets. I just got the entire Rocky series and the Mel Brooks Collection (8 movies) for $29.99 each.

Heads up also: I found The Jacket for $3 at Big Lots tonight. That movie is definitely worth getting for that price. Tremendously underrated gem. I also saw (at one of the three I went to, in fruitless search of a $5 Tickle Me Ernie) what I think was
all of the Bond flicks (minus the two with the current fugly-ass motherfucker who is supposed to be able to play the same suave, debonair badass as guys like Brosnan and Connery--maybe if he gets his fucking head replaced) for $4 each.
I loved The Jacket. Underrated (and probably unknown by most) gem indeed!
I bought 30 Rock Season 1 and House MD Season 3 from Amazon for $13.99 a piece on Black Friday. Those were my only hauls. I heard Circuit City online had Entourage Season 4 priced at $1.49! I missed it, but that is a sweet fucking deal.

I've still only seen the Bond flicks at one Big Lots, and for $1 more than the rest of the movies. I'm going back later to snag 'em, as Costco finally put theirs out and I discovered that, even with the coupon next week, they're still a good deal more.
Not sure about Never Say Never Again; that one might not be in the mix.

Bond films at Big Lots? Wow. The best movies the Big Lots I went to yesterday were Action Jackson and Shaft in Africa.

I've seen all or most of them at my Big Lots.
I've considered picking up Goldeneye.

Out of curiosity, I looked at their website. They list the $3 movies, and show Robocop 2 as one of the possibilities. I wouldn't mind finding that.
BTW, Ran-II, the Bond flicks are, for some reason, a dollar more. I'm going to at least grab the Connery and Brosnan ones. Unlike Diabolical, I recognize that not seeing certain films is a bad thing.
Two Circuit Cities here are closing. One is a pretty sad, since it's a much nicer store than the one across town that isn't closing. It wasn't even open--they announced they were closing stores, and this store that was about to open got the axe (I'm guessing because there were no last-year sales numbers). All their movies are 40% off. Unfortunately, given what they have left that's actually desirable, it's stuff that either is hella cheap somewhere else, or that non-closing Circuit Cities sell cheaper in weekly sales.
I did get quite a few killer CDs at 50% off. New Weezer, a 2-disc Rush GH package, the new Beck CD, Metalocalypse: Dethalbum (I might not understand the show, but the music is kewl), and, possibly best of all, "budget" CDs by Steven Wright and the Blues Brothers that cost less than a fast food hamburger each.

So, no luck on the Bond flicks. I went back, and it looked like they hadn't sold any. Thing is, they'd filled the rack (these were separate from the other movies) with $8 DVDs I've seen at no other Big Lots, and left the five remaining Bond movies (three of which were Moonraker) on the front rack. I did find A Very Long Engagement for $3; anything with the director and star of Amelie seems a must-buy at $3.
Unfortunately, the "deal" at Costco still puts them at $35 a set. All four sets come with some useless pack-in like a passport holder. I'd rather pay less. If MGM had released these in chronological or release order, I'd have gotten the first. But with the strange, totally random order they're in, $140 seemed to no longer be a "cheap DVD buy" and I passed.
Costco did have the Bourne Trilogy for $9.99, so I got that. Blind buy, but $3.33 each seems worth it, given the hype I hear about these.
Also, in one of the store-specific "As Is" clearances at Target, I got The Brak Show: Season 2 for $3.76.

I went to Big Lots last night and every single Bond DVD was gone. They had a shitload the other day.
Bourne for $10 is a fantastic buy. One of the very few series that got better with each flick.
And nice snag with Brak. I'm jealous.

The Bourne trilogy is fucking sweet! If you watch those movies and do not enjoy them, then there is something seriously wrong with you...

Family Guy Vol 6 is $14.99 this week at Target. I saw one copy at all the Targets I went to. I think this is the first time I saw it marked down since the release date earlier this year, and people are snagging it. Hell, after my experiences with every single previous volume, I no longer buy this show when it comes out and wait for the inevitable markdown (as I did today). Same with South Park, though I didn't even start buying the sets until one of Target's sales in November on two volumes.

I was at 99c Only today looking for Speed Racer cars, and found several 99c cartoons. One was Static Shock Vol 1. I nabbed that one. To my knowledge, that's the only DCAU series to have not gotten any further DVD release (though there could be a volume 2). It unfortunately does not include the Batman and Green Lantern crossovers, but I'm not sure if the rest of the show will ever be released or not, and it was a buck.
(Static came back in a major way in the excellent JLU mini-series "The Once and Future Thing," where a much older version leads a future Justice League that includes the Terry McGinness Batman.)
