Speaking of which, why have there never been Jewish characters on this site? That's some pretty fertile comic ground.

Well, there was that one dude. His name eludes me, but his avatar was Mel Gibson as a rabbi.

Okay, it's not the route I would've taken, but I'm more than willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. If actual previews show up that look as shitty as Transformers, I may change my mind.

The pics are upsetting to me. Dennis Quaid looks like something out of Goddamn Starship Troopers and Storm Shadow's outfit sucks. Fuck me, they'd better have this whole story taking place in the dark.

Why does it look like Snake Eyes is wearing platform combat boots?
Dennis Quaid looks like something out of Goddamn Starship Troopers
I was telling that to mabs on AIM the other day...some sort Stormshadow looks like he walked out of the Matrix movies, the rest of 'em are Starship Troopers/X-Men rejects. What is funny is that the US Military is switching to camouflage similar to what Dennis Quaid is wearing.

So, mabs, you really thinking this looks like shit, or you just busting some balls elsewhere?

Or for Joan Jett. :mabs:

I'm willing to hold judgment until we see more. GIJoe was more story-based than Speed Racer, so it could work. diBonaventura has confirmed these aren't the only costumes they wear.

So, we're getting closer. What are everyone's thoughts?

I've got major mixed feelings about it. Everything I've heard sounds like they made enough fundamental changes that it's no longer GIJoe, just a movie about special forces with a ninja on the team.

I'm waiting on a trailer, but I'm feeling really indifferent towards this one.

It's getting what I refer to as "Ghost Rider Syndrome" I enjoy the 5-10 minutes of the Ghost Rider movie where GR is onscreen kicking ass and whatnot, and the rest of the movie is meh. Much like the Ang Lee Hulk movie.

This will be seven or so minutes of Snake Eyes being awesome and Scarlet being delicious, and 100 minutes of meh.

I'd forgotten all about the movie.
There's been little to nothing in terms of news or leaks in ages.
