one of the biggest 'holy shit' moments of the year at the end. REALLY interested in where this is going.
The end really came out of left field, but yeah, I can't wait to see where this goes.

Gotta say, I read spoilers about it, and it sounds like a pretty solid idea.

Speaking of DD I didn't realize Daredevil: Dark Reign The List also came out today.

yeah, and it's not a stand-alone mini, it seems to take place between issues of the ongoing series. the preview in #500 showed that it lead right in, but there's a preview of #501 in DD: The List #1 which carries the story.

Yeah, and that is pretty irritating. Why not have Brubaker write it as DD #501 (502)?
I'd have missed it if it weren't for the preview in DD #500.

other than the fact that #500 was bru/lark's last issue of their run, it is a offshoot, so i have a feeling you won't feel totally in the dark if you skip the mini and just get the monthly, unlike the dark avengers/x-men crossover. man i'm glad that's over, because i just can't give a shit about the x-men since i have no idea how long. don't know why.

andy diggle is taking over the writing chores, and if the preview of #501 in DD: DR: The List #1 is any indication, roberto de la torre is keeping the art very much in tone with both maleev and lark. seems to be a smooth transition. i've said it before on this very title, so i'm prepared to eat my words, but i don't know how this team can top the team before it. that said, i'm on board to watch them try.

Fuck, I didn't know Brubaker is done on DD! I'm not sure I want to continue.
But I'll give it a shot for a few months. Hopefully the Dark Reign The List issue will give me an indication of how the team will handle DD.

Man, I was really looking forward to seeing where Brubaker took the story at the end of issue #500.

heh. it seems to be the running theme of creative hand-offs for the title to put DD in a huge boggle and see what the next team does with it. at least for the last two hand-offs, anyway. it's pretty funny, really. it's like "let's see how they deal with THIS!"

Great thing about Daredevil's creators doing that is there's never been much of a status quo for very long, at least not for several years.

That one-shot is pretty much Daredevil #501 part 1. A 26 page story and a "preview" of #501 that deals directly references the events in the one-shot, and a couple of sketches.

All because if the dumbass Dark Reign bullshit.

I had an extremely light week as I had no pulls last week because the two I thought were coming out had been pushed back a week or two.

There'll be $16 worth of comics on Wednesday though.
