Pretty sure I mentioned it in another topic but I did find Vizam & picked him up last weekend. I would still consider a wave 3 Stormtrooper, but wave 3 was really scarce up here & the only one I ever saw was painted horribly. I'm actually quite excited about the 3.75" figures shown at Toy Fair & will be getting all of the OT figures, provided I can find them.

I really haven't bought anything lately. But, we're going to the World of Toys Expo tomorrow. It was only $5, so we're taking the kids too. Not much in the way of celebrities. I'm hoping there are some decent vendors.
Well, that was a waste of time and money.

Got Captain Ace (from the Skystriker), the Air Viper (from the ROC Target exclusive), and some 25th anniversary version of Storm Shadow from a local toy shop. It was 3 for $15 for loose figures and those were the only 25th or newer figures worth getting.

My three Transformers Generations Deluxes arrived today. Haven't opened Scoop yet. The Mini-Cons Ammonites are a bit spotty, with parts that tend to pop off, but decent enough. Armada/IDW "Duly Elected Ruler of Cybertron" Starscream is surprisingly a pretty fucking epic figure. The only real issue is his shoulder cannons, which have this kinda goofy gimmick that makes him rather heavily weighted toward the back, particularly when they're in the firing position.

I kinda wish they weren't putting faction symbols on these. This version of Starscream shouldn't have an insignia at all, and the Mini-Con insignia hasn't appeared on any Ammonites (though that would be a damned easy fix for IDW). Also the forthcoming Sky-Byte doubles as a RiD figure or the newly introduced IDW former Decepticon (who, coincidentally, is a cast member of the book that shares a name with RiD); it'd be nice to have one with a Decepticon logo instead of the Predacon one. This gives me no doubt that there will be a Megatron based on his post-Dark Cybertron, only with a Decepticon logo.

I know I'm behind and the story isn't quite over anyway, but I'm thinking more and more that all Transformers (aside from maybe some war criminals or the DJD) will be Autobots following Dark Cybertron.

Also, a nice touch on the Mini-Cons: though Hasbro gave each (and the combined form) names, each has a printed serial number (not a Hasbro code, so far as I can tell) so they have more proper "Ammonite" names as well.

The TF ongoings are so damn good, you almost forget they're shilling product. If Hasbro were a tiny bit brighter, they'd be doing running change variants in the toy line just as you suggested, with "proper" insignias.

Didn't we have a thread for what we're looking for? I don't see it. But Skids. His wave hasn't shipped for months. I saw all the others multiple times, but never him. He's being retooled as Crosscut so probably won't get a straight up re-release.

You mean the one that's sticky'd at the top of the page? "The Official vyn.com want list" thread (or whatever it's called)? That one?

I found a Black Series Stormy that I can live with, so that's good. Already found my wave 4 figure so I guess I have to figure out what from wave 5 I'll want (if anything) and hope they show up here. The only place in Canada that has had the 3rd wave of 6" figures in stock so far has been Sunrise Records of all places.

Found Jinx and Blind Master at TRU in the outlet mall near my office. Surprisingly, they were $9.99, which is what they are everywhere else. Everything else in the store was marked up beyond normal TRU prices. They had more figures from that wave, but these were the only two I wanted. Other TRU stores I've been to restocked GI Joe recently, but with earlier waves.

Stopped by TRU today to get a sleeping bag for Nark Jr. Based on what you said, I stopped by the Joes and left with Blind Master. No Jinx or Night Vipers, and only one BM (hee hee, BM), but tons of Dark Ninjas.

Haven't purchased them YET, but wanted to mention the interesting Guardians of the Galaxy 4" lineup - the figures are basically right out in the open, allowing you to touch/examine the figure itself. They are affixed to the card, but there is no bubble in other words. Yes, I appreciate they are encumbered with action features, but I was quite fond of the Groot & Rocket figures at first glance, might go back & snag them today.

Ugh! Transparent oversized accessories. *yawn* Are toy makers not allowed to give action figures realistic coloured weapons now or is hasbro just blowing chunks as usual?

Don't like the way they did Starlord's long coat either.
