At this rate, I'm willing to bet that the as-yet unrevealed freebie figure will be Ninja-Ku, going the same route they did with vintage Scarlett/vintage Quarrel/25th Scarlett/25th Pilot Scarlett/Fan Club Quarrel. In other words, he'll be the Ninja-Ku Storm Shadow with the original dark brown skin.

So, this "TNT" guy was apparently another Argentina-only figure. A blue and silver repaint of Blowtorch, with a shovel.
Yup, I'm definitely out.

That list someone posted seems to be right on. Looks like they had super-fanboys in mind when deciding which figures to put on the subscription, which is fine. They still haven't announced the cost, but I'm sure it is going to be excessive.

So you're saying G.I. Joe is from Argentina?
Fuck you, you anti-American motherfucker.
Who else but Americans could invent kung fu so we could give our favorite action figure the kung fu grip?

And Sure-Fire looks like shit. Real ultimate shit.
Jinx and Iron Klaw are the only two new sculpt figures so far that look decent. And I don't like this version of Jinx, and Iron Klaw is someone I can easily live without (though, honestly, might look for on eBay to see if anyone is getting rid of one since he's not RAH).
I'm still fine with my Cover Girl. Big Boa's hardly high on my list of characters I want. I might hold off until the inevitable Hasbro Weapon X figure and make a custom. The helmets look relatively close to me--not dead on, but close enough to not require a lot of work: However, I'm wondering if maybe I should go this route for the Dreadnoks, since it includes the Resolute sets and everything comes out relatively cheap, per figure:

So some people have problems with you buying $200 game systems, but no issues with you buying $130 worth of little army men in one go?

It's more that the PS3 is one thing, and that she sees it as unnecessary.
The odd thing is, though I won't deny loving the Wii, she's the one who wanted it and insisted we get it. I haven't requested a game system in ages.

She also figures I drop $500 on toys per month. I can't convince her otherwise. Whenever she wants to argue, the first thing is, "Why don't you stop wasting money on toys?" (This despite her being the person to talk me into getting a lot of toys I wouldn't have gotten.) I point out, "Well, in the last month, I've gotten one figure. Here he is. They're not making much stuff I want, and, what they are making, I can't find. But I'll take him back and get the $5." (I don't mention the price increase.) Even with the faulty logic she uses whenever she gets mad at anything, she can't really respond to that.

I may be slow on the uptake, but I just realized that Jinx is a Helix body.

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
Crushing news.
Classic GIJoe 13 came in the mail today. I wanted to re-read some of the highlights, even though I'm behind on the series. And, partly because I married a Vietnamese lady and actually gave enough of a shit to research some of the basics on the Vietnam War, I realized something that completely undermines what I thought of the series.
Firefly was always a white French guy. The face he assumes is probably his real face and not another hypnotic suggestion, meaning he's also no longer the only major Cobra to never have his full face be shown unmasked.
And, with Darklon now a big deal, that means fucking Darklon assumes that title. Fucking Darklon.

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
Is Darklon technically (or even not technically) Cobra? I thought he was a third or fourth or even fifth faction.
Which means the title goes to Croc Master. Or Big Boa. or one of several thousand Vipers, Cobra Officers, Seigies, and the like.

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
Big Boa never appeared in the Marvel run. And I don't know I'd consider Croc Master to be "major."
Did we ever see Wild Weasel? Is he "major"?
I must admit, I'm curious to see how Darklon became such a huge threat in the new issues. He was always a joke. "I didn't want those planes before, but now that you painted them black and marked the price up, I can't refuse!"

Pics of Cover Girl are out.
And so am I. No question about it. Her face looks like she's taking a dump.

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
That's #11. The rumor list seems to be accurate, so Big Boa is probably next. I didn't see any rumors on what the 13th figure might be. Probably another kit-bash repaint of some obscure character.

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
Lifeline and Zombie Viper pictures. WARNING: They are kind of silly.

The zombie doesn't look that bad, I just don't see how it fits in with GI Joe. Can't wait for Lifeline.
