It's a little more than that, unless you know some shortcut I don't, but, basically, yeah.

I've never had connection loss problems unless the Wiimote battery runs out. And I fixed that problem by buying one of those recharging stations. $30 beats having to replenish your battery supply every other week. I'm sure the thing had already paid for itself halfway through Zelda.
By the way, setting up Tennis with two Wiimotes and then trying to play yourself is funny as hell.

I've rolled a 220 on Wii Bowling. Once you get up to a certain score, it's tough because the game will reward 200+ games with 5-10 pts, but one disastrous game of around 180 will hammer you down 40-50 pts. I can only imagine what happens when you start bowling 300 games. You're pretty much screwed.

I was hoping to find Red Steel at Circuit City for $9.99 today. Unfortunately, the one near my in-laws' was out. The one I passed on the way home was closed at 10. (I thought stores ran extended hours during the holiday season... WTF?) I'm hoping to find it tomorrow at one of the nearby stores. $10 for a fucking samurai game on the Wii sounds like the shiznit.

I will have to check, as I'm not sure. But I cannot check right now. Patience, unless one of the Rollos gets here first.

From a review of it:
The Wii box includes everything you need to hook the system up to a standard television: the Wii console, a wireless controller with nunchuk adapter, the sensor bar, a cradle (for mounting the console vertically), the Wii's modestly sized power adapter, and a set of composite A/V cables. Unfortunately, composite cables don't support the Wii's top resolution of 480p, so HDTV owners will want to also purchase a set of Wii component cables (sold separately).
Doesnt sound like it has HDMI on it with a 480p resolution.

Same boat. I have no idea without looking. I know there are some USB ports on the back for wireless keyboards and digital cameras, but not sure about the A/V stuff.

Wiis are going to be even hotter this year for Christmas than last. I don't give a fuck what Yahoo says.
I base partly this on the fact that they still are impossible to find. Also, I was looking on amazon.com for some reviews on a couple of games, and a lot of choice gift games (especially third-party games) like Carnival and most of the '08 EA sports games are currently unavailable new and only available from third-party sellers charging well more than retail.
The games are still in print. It just appears that the manufacturers haven't met demand, at least via amazon. (Most of these are games I've seen in stores within even the past week.)
Pretty amazing, huh?
On the other hand, that pice of carp Ultimate "Bumblebee," which is supposedly hotter than the Wii, can be bought in bulk at any store in the nation.

Quite by accident, I discovered a way in which I might be able to obtain multiple new Wiimotes for only $25. I'm going to test my theory tomorrow and Tuesday. (I think it's best if it's carried out over two days.) No five-fingered discount, only a slight flaw in a promotion. I'll give full details later in the day on Tuesday, whether it works or not. If it does, the rest of you would have until Saturday to take advantage as well.
Rollo, I'd start looking for an accomplice (such as a roommate who uses the Wii), because I'm 99% certain of success. I doubt your red and blue halves would be able to pull it off.

It's the Holiday season! I can't decide if I should rush out and buy Mario Galaxy or ask for it for Christmas.
I also want the Transformers game now that it's dropping in price. And I'm curious to play the Complete Star Wars LEGO saga to see how it works on the Wii.
And not Wii related, I bought a used X-Box 360 for about $200. I'm going to get Halo3 and get online and shoot at perfect strangers. Booyah.

Fuck my ass! I typed out a goddamned response, and the fucking cookie must've cleared or something, and I was told I needed to log in to respond, and I lost like six fucking paragraphs.
Here's the deal:
TRU has any game half-off with the purchase of SMG.
We bought two extra copies of SMG along with two copies of WiiPlay.
We take the SMG's back to TRU, since a glitch in their gift receipt system (I'll explain later--it's complicated) seems to indicate you can return SMG for full value. If not, we take 'em to Wal-Mart, who suck ass anyway.
And we end up getting two more WiiMotes (plus two extra copies of WiiPlay to sell without the WiiMotes) for $25 each.

Didn't get a WiiMote, but I did take advantage and bought SMG and the Transformers game for an extra $20.
TF is not unlike the Hulk game with it's wanton destruction of property. Good fun!! The camera has some issues as I'm constantly resetting it during the game with a quick push of the "-" button. Need to figure out the "lock-on" feature. I've only played in the Autobot campaign so far. But if you can pretty much level the entire city as Bumblebee, I can only imagine what kind of mayhem you can cause as a Decepticon. And with cheat codes, you can play as G1 Optimus, Megatron, Starcream, and Jazz. Hooray!
