I'm of the mind that, as awful as the movie is, Cobra Commander's name may as well be Rex Lewis. The only other time he was given a name, so far as I know, is Renegades, where he's Adam DeCobray. However, we all know that, in RAH, DeCobray is Baroness's canon last name by birth (I do not buy the whole "DeCobray is an alias" shit from Devil's Due), and Cobra Commander is clearly not her brother in this universe, so that cannot be right. I can live with combining them to Adam "Rex" Lewis, though. We know he was a plain old midwesterner whose son had the insanely ridiculous name of William, so, unless someone in power comes up with an appropriate name, I'll assume his is equally whitebread.
In the original Marvel series, when CC and Destro are on the run, I remember a doctor leading CC to Billy because of the uniqueness of their mysterious shared last name. I doubt 'Lewis' would've tripped the docs memory. I concluded at that time their last name is Wigglewampus or something.

Ah, I'd forgotten all about that.

Still, it's not DeCobray.

I think DeCobray is stupid as it is. I roll my eyes every time it's mentioned.

Incorrect.

DeCobray is awesome when it's the Baroness's name. "Baroness Anastasia DeCobray." It really rolls off the tongue, and is far less stupid than, say, "Skip A. Stone." Or the original Dreadnoks, who were both Tom, Dick & Harry as well as Wynken, Blynken & Nod.

While both of those are insipid (especially the Skip A. Stone. Damn, that makes my teeth hurt to type.) it doesn't make DeCobray less silly.

The only thing that makes it not silly is the fact she's a brunette with glasses dressed head to toe in black vinyl. Which has given me a boner since I was like 18 months old.

Speaking of dumb names, I didn't know until recently that Alpine's real name is Al Pine.

Is it Frostbite that's "Farley Seward," as in "Seward's Folly," the derisive name given to Alaska before it became a state?

Pictures of the carded Renegades Stormshadow. http://bbs.actoys.net/read.php?tid=778947

Compared to the other Renegades figures, he has a bunch of accessories.

Holy shit, he's got a fucking gunsen war fan! Want, want, want, WANT!! That is really a nice figure, and the interchangeable heads is nice. Odd that the card art shows him with the "classic" head; I don't think he appeared that way in the cartoon at all.

Nice. Unfortunately, I'm at my limit on Stormshadows.

Maybe it'll sound stupid as hell, but I'd pay $7 for the war fan alone, just to give it to Jinx. Not that they're traditionally a woman's weapon, but I think it'd look cool with her.

Makes sense. I'm thinking about getting some of those Big Lots sets for the accessories.

As far as Jinx goes, I'll wait for the movie figure to come out. I'm also hoping for a kick-ass movie version of Firefly. Wish I could have snagged the TRU version. The only Firefly I have is the one that came with the green shirts, which is ok, but could be better.

Some crappy pictures of the next Renegades wave plus the Techno Viper.

I'm liking the Renegades Trooper figure a lot more, though those Renegades guns still look like shit. Ripcord looks quite good, though, uh, he's not supposed to be bald. Would've been nice to include interchangeable Bio-Viper arms... but I suppose that would require them to think logically and release a goddamned Bio-Viper in the first place. I wonder if the head is a simple re-use; it doesn't look familiar.

Scarlett looks like one hell of a figure. Given how rather neglected she's been in the 25th/POC/30th line, there's a good chance that one could become my main Scarlett figure (since I'm doubting I'll ever get the Resolute sets).

I doubt there'll be a Firefly masked from ROC2 (unless he's an exclusive or something). The images so far show him unmasked only. Because, hey, how better to "get back to basics" than getting as far from them as possible, right? I didn't get him, but the Hall of Heroes Firefly looked like a really good one, though without the camo. If you can find it, the comic pack with Storm Shadow and Firefly is a sweet figure, too.
