There is a Magnum PI reboot?
Looks like Bull and Roz are the only candidates for cameos in the new series. Maybe Ellen Foley who was only in Season 2 before being replaced by Markie Post. According to wikipedia, Harry Anderson died in his sleep of a stroke due to influenza and heart disease. Triple whammy.

There are currently 4 seasons on CBS.
Looks like the 5th and 6th are going to NBC.
Just looking on wiki, it's part of a "shared universe" with the new versions of MacGuyver and Hawaii Five-O...because of course.

Was the original MacGuyver in Hawaii?
And where’s the Quincy MD reboot? Starring Miley Cyrus or some shit.

We went to Guardians 3 a few weeks ago, and the speakers in the auditorium were crackling the entire time, so we got comped tickets. We used those tickets to go see Little Mermaid tonight.
I realize it’s a low bar, and not everyone’s cup of tea but as far as live action Disney remakes go, this is definitely one of the better/best ones. Halle Bailey as Ariel carried the film with her exuberance. They kept most of the original songs and added a couple new ones to pad out the movie an extra hour. The rest of the cast didn’t suck, including Melissa McCarthy(whom I usually find grating) as a decent Ursula. And Awkwafina replacing Buddy Hackett as Scuttle even worked well enough.
If you can look past the egregious cash grab that is the entirety of these Disney live action remakes, some have been utter dogshit like Pinocchio and Mulan. This one was at the opposite end of the spectrum. I enjoyed it.
It sucks that a significant portion of the populace is sabotaging it because they don’t like the melatonin content in Halle Bailey’s skin. She is gorgeous and ebullient.

There are currently 137 movie sequels in production:

It is amazing how many of them are sequels to movies made in the 80s or 90s.

All the little kids from those decades are now adults running the industry. Also, the corporate shmucks are afraid to take a chance on anything that isn’t an “established” property.
Everytime Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship plays on the radio, I think ‘there’s no fuckin way that movie gets made today’.

The list didn't even have the new Rey Star Wars movie. The kids' and horror movies are expected. Betelgeuse 2 makes sense because after Wednesday, Jenny Ortega is the new Winona Ryder.
Mallrats 2 reminded me that I still haven't seen Clerks 3.
The Last Starfighter 2, Twister 2, Robocop, and The Rocketeer are kind of out of the blue, but they will probably go nuts with the CGI.
It is hard to believe anyone was asking for Rob Schneider to do The Animal 2.

Most of those are based in rumor, wishful thinking from a star, or will never get made.
For example, Beetlejuice 2 has been in some firm of development since the first one came out, Kevin Smith had been trying to do Mallrats 2 for a several years, and The Rocketeer has also taken several forms over the years.
In other words, don't believe it until you see it.
And Ran, you didn't miss much by not seeing Clerks 3. It had its moments, but I was highly disappointed.

Paramount vows to leave no franchise unsullied and tarnished and announces a Naked Gun reboot.
There is literally nobody worth taking that role who would take that role.
Shameful.

The first photos of the Crow reboot went online.
The guy that played the clown from It is The Crow.
Based on the pics, it looks as bad as you're assuming.
There's a reason it took more than 15 years to finally get made.

Does the original Crow movie hold up? I haven't seen it since it came out.
I'm having trouble imagining Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin.
I found a list of upcoming remakes/reboots/sequels.
https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comment ... d_remakes/
Ghostbusters and Beetlejuice are the only two I'm interested in.
Road House? Another Frankenstein movie? A prequel for The Omen? Bad Boys
4? Whatever.
The description for Furiosa is pretty funny..."Prequel of a reboot of the 1979 film "Mad Max""
Twister and Gladiator sequels seem like strange choices.

Tron 3 is also really odd, as the other two suck.

I watched the Crow last weekend. I think it held up pretty well. I always thought the third act kinda devolved into a generic action flick showdown with the Top Dollar villain.
Liam Neeson?! Really? Ew. EDIT. I looked it up. Haha. His son??? No. Just…no.

The one I cracked up at was Horizon: An American Saga. The first part is an “original” idea, but the sequel a couple months later is not, as it is based on the 2024 film Horizon: An American Saga. Lol.

Some production company inked a deal with the estate of the guy who wrote The Neverending Story. Time for a reboot!!
