Look like Greg Rucka and Marco Checchetto will be officially announced as the new guys on The Punisher at C2E2 this weekend.
Not sure if I've ever read his stuff, but I recognize the name.

That's a good choice. He did Gotham Central and had a decent run on WonderWoman at DC. His latest work was the Batwoman stuff in Detective.
I can't recall any Marvel stuff he's done other than the Wolverine relaunch way back in 2004. I'm sure if I googled him it would trip memory.

I always wondered what a Hama Punisher would read like. It'd never happen now, though.

Greg Rucka talks The Punisher
(kind of a spoiler for In The Blood #5 in there if you're paying attention)
I'm happy - He sounds like he truly understands Frank and isn't going to fuck with him.

I pointed that spoiler out on CBR.
Wow. This is the year of the first issues for Marvel. Thor, Captain America, Daredevil, Punisher, Moon Knight, and Ghost Rider all getting #1s this summer.

My instinct says that's Lemar Hoskins under the mask. Or perhaps Kaspar Cole.

The more I look at that costume, the more I want to call shenanigans. The little white lines coming out from the Stars on his shoulders are just too lame to have made it to final design.

I know it's tough to fool people with April Fool's jokes nowadays, but a week early? That's too much, methinks. At least to not wind up looking stupid and ruining your credibility.
Not that it matters, of course.

I was thinking if they really wanted to eff with people Marvel and DC should've announced a crossover on Friday, and everybody would've assumed it was an April Fool's Joke. then four months from now, a crossover book comes out and Marvel and DC were like "Gotcha! Snuck it in right under your noses, foo!"

i don't think he has enough stars on him.
the shine lines coming from the ones on his shoulderpads almost make up for that. almost.

Anyone know if the Nextwave single-volume paperback is out of print? It looks rather tough to come by, but it's only two years old, and a majorly acclaimed series. Is there a new version planned, or something?
Even aside from the universal praise, it's got Machine Man written by the dude who did GIJoe: Resolute. This I have to read.

Dude, I see Nextwave floppies in the quarter bins at those shows all the time. Every time I see them, I'm all "Whoohoo!" and them I'm "Oh wait, I've already got all of them." But I still get giddy when I find them in the boxes. Thats how awesome that series is.
But anyway, the real reason I came in here was because I bought Daredevil:Yellow from a guy a month ago and it arrived today (and I'm giving him shitty feedback because it doesn't take 30 fuckin' days to ship anywhere in the US you lazy cock.). I read it. And it pisses me off, because it reminded me how good a writer Jeph Loeb used to be. And Tim Sale's art is just fuckin' gorgeoous. I still need to track down Spider-Man:Blue.
