I sold my long box of Dark Horse Star Wars books for $1 per book, then rounded down to the closest number, $250 maybe. I may have erred. ><

Another one to dig out and keep in a better spot.

There’s a short Captain America story that was in one of the anthology tie-ins for the “Siege” Event crossover from 2010 (Siege:Embedded maybe?) where Cap is dealing with the fallout of Daken killing a cop or a soldier when he escaped the battlefield and Cap is consoling the dead guy’s family. Right then and there, Daken has been a straight up villain for me ever since. Whatever anti-hero bullshit they’ve slung since then, if he’s a bad guy in Cap’s eyes that’s good enough for me.

Avengers #263 - 1 at appearance of X-Factor. ComicBookRealm lists it at $6.00.

It went from Avengers to FF 286 (dealing with the recovery of Jean) which then led into X-Factor 1.

Apparently the pending Obi-Wan show on Disney+ has made the Inquisitors’ first appearances in the second ongoing Darth Vader comic from 2017-2019 start kicking up in price.


Also, and we may have discussed this before; 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th printings of comics in general are gaining. Sometimes worth more than the original because they A. have a different cover, even if its only a small variation like giving the art a different color tint, and B miniscule print runs.

I remember when 2nd prints were the redhead stepchildren of collecting.

Exiles #3 (2018) is also gaining steam.

The first appearance of Captain Carter.
Between her appearance in What If...? and her rumored appearance on Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it's could be a pricey book soon.

Edit. Issue 2 is the first appearance of the ‘movie’ Valkyrie, so that’s also moving up.

I feel like those are two that could sneak past people since so many didn't realize they showed up in comics.

Then again, I'm probably underestimating opportunistic pirate nerds.

Over at my parents today and my dad was like, ‘I found your old Dukes of Hazzard car in the basement’ and I was like ‘bullshit. Show me. That’s awesome!’ so I went downstairs and looked. Didn’t find the General Lee, but I found this bitch down there in a box of old Conan the Barbarian magazines.

They really need to rerelease trades or collect this series in an Omnibus.
