Look at everything else he's done for the past 15 years or so. I truly don't think he does anymore.

I suppose. Let's see what the last 15 years hath wrought.
Baby Mama was more of a cameo wasn't it?
Cheaper By The Dozen ( I and II) were paychecks , but they didn't shit on the memory of one of the greatest comic actors of the cinematic age.
Shopgirl was a vanity project.
Bringing Down the House. meh, never saw it, won't judge.
Novocaine, and Joe Gould's Secret seem to be barrel scrapers.
Bowfinger was AWESOME. But that's going on ten years now.
Out Of Towners. Well, it's a Neil Simon play, I'll give it a pass.
Spanish Prisoner. That had some drama cred didn't it?
Sgt. Bilko. Awp! Well, pissing on the memory of Phil Silvers. There's where he started...
Father of the Bride II. Another Paycheck.
Mixed Nuts. I have no idea what this was about or if its good.
A Simple Twist of Fate. Another vanity project.
And the Band Played On. More drama cred.
Grand Canyon was back in 1991. Which is what I think of when I think Good Steve Martin drama.
and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, his funniest film was a full twenty years ago (1988).

Well, in the past 15 years, the funniest role Eddie Murphy's taken on is Donkey in "Shrek". But I admit, I thought the dinner scene in "The Nutty Professor" was funny.

The Nutty Professor was the last good live action role Eddie Murphy had. He's been on a long, hard spiral downward. Metro is the worst of his movies that I've seen, but there've been several I intentionally avoided (Pluto Nash, Norbit, probably about ten others). Donkey and Mushu are good roles, but both animated.
Sad. Everything up through Harlem Nights is comedy gold. Even The Golden Child wasn't bad.

It wasn't too small of a roll. He was pretty funny in this one. For those who haven't seen it, it starts slow, but Amy Poehler is fucking funny in it.

Even though they're in the "family comedy" section, they're not horrible for what they are. Thinking on it, I don't know why my family rented both (and I think bought the first). But, as I said, they weren't terrible.
But, god damn it, he could make a thousand shitty movies and he would still be awesome because of The Jerk. Fuckin' A, that is the funniest movie ever.

I love The Jerk, but Three Amigos is the pinnacle of three great careers (Martin, Chase, and Short--I believe Jon Lovitz and Phil Hartmann were in it, too, before they hit it big).

I am hardwired to find anything Martin Short does as annoying as fuck.
I think Spies Like Us is my fave Chevy Chase film. Where the fuck has he been hiding lately? HOLY FUCK. I just went to his imdb page. Besides some cameos, TV appearances, and utter schlock you've never heard of, he hasn't been in a film since 1997 (Vegas Vacation). Pretty much all of the 90's were weak sauce too. Cops and Robbersons? Jesus...

Grimlock. Suck something.
Okay, I take that back.
Fletch is the top Chase film.
On a tangent, I see that Chevy was in Snowday. Which also has the lucious Emmanuelle Chiriqui in it.

Regarding INNERSPACE, I stand by my original statement.
Case in point (I must say)
