Didn't realize he'd done early versions for What A Cartoon! As cliche as that was, the premise actually sounds funnier than the premise for Family Guy.

Did ya catch the reference to Stewie's store and the Quagmire voice? Is that asking the obvious, or what?

I'm surprised the characters weren't named Peter and Brian.

I caught both the Stewie and Quagmire references. Quagmire was really obvious (he was even a pilot), but the Stewie thing could have easily been missed.

And I'm kind of glad that kind of cartoon slapstick has died out. It was funny in stuff like Looney Tunes, but here it all kind of fell flat (and did most cartoon slapstick in this era).

HA, i saw that the other day. pretty funny. the 'impressions' are god-awful, but it's mainly for the bystander reactions, anyway.

also glad they didn't have to stun leia - no one wants to fall on the floor of an NYC subway car.

I really dunno what to think of the Double Rainbow thing and am not sure if it should even be brought up here

That being said, despite kind of hating this style of music this fucking stupid song makes me smile every time I hear it- it isn't exactly suited to this topic but also does not belong anywhere else, since it is a youtube phenomenon first and foremost

If you haven't seen it, the original video would provide a LOT of context

Call me stupid, but is that a real ad for a boat company? That's fucking awesome!!

This isn't so much "awesome!" as it is encouraging that, even if it is just one publisher and one TV network, the comic publishers finally seem to have caught on that a lot of people don't even realize comics still exist and they need to advertise.

double rainbow song... W. T. F.

"you, your girl, and your johnson" - quote of the infinity.

awesome to see the 'Fables' comic tv spot, though i was hoping it was for a TV show based on 'Fables' - that would be fucking awesome. with AMC gearing up for the 'Walking Dead' show, it's a definite possibility.

My grandmother used to sing me to sleep with this little ditty.

That should explain a lot about my state of mind most of the time.
