I happened to check rebels cum tonight and saw a report that Wal-mart has the AT-AT for $49. We went to the WM closest to my house, and they had it. There was not 1, but 2 $99 stickers on it. I took it over to the price checker, and it came up at $49. So I ended up buying it. Holy crap that thing is big.

I saw the sign at my WM last week, but they were all gone. I got one at Kmart a few months ago for $49 but I would've gotten a second one. They're pretty bitchin'

I bought some Playmobil sets for my daughter's birthday, and for me I got the new SuperHeroSquad Iron Man 3-pack with Detroit Steel. I also the got the 7-pack with Crossbones, Red She-Hulk and other assorted redecoed heroes.

JACKPOT!!! by vynsane, on Flickr

they were in the LEGO store's "build a minifigure" station. generally speaking, you're supposed to build three figures comprised of hat/hair, head, torso, legs and accessory, but i've heard you can really get 15 elements of any kind, so i got those 10 torsos, two heads, and three "irina spalko" hairpieces, and had no issues. it could've been because my daughter was also there and got three figures herself. i had a $5 LEGO VIP credit, so not counting my daughter's three, i got all my stuff for $5 (it's $10 to build three figures).

I didn't mention Kup and Scourge. Both very sweet figures. Kup in particular is one of the best current TF figures. I'm sure many will bitch about his arm kibble, but he's awesome. Exceptional articulation in the legs, which is where many of them fail (since articulation is nothing if the figure can't balance).

I'm glad they didn't give him the cigar.

Agreed on Kup. He might be the best Classics/Generations figure yet. I see his 'arm kibble' as rotating armor to deflect incoming blaster fire.

There was a TRU ad from about a month ago that had a $100 LEGO Repair Garage on sale for $70. When I went in they didn't have any of the sets, nor were they getting any in. Which pissed me off, since its the ad. Anyway, I went in there today and they had one set sitting sideways on the shelf. I took it over to the scanner, and lo and behold it was at the sale price. So I got it.

HTS has free shipping today. Given that many of their toys are now $1 less than retail, not having their high shipping charges made things worth it.

They were out of Grapple and Shadow Tracker, as well as most of the SW figures I'd want. Too bad.

I ordered the latest resculpts of Destro, Storm Shadow, and Duke. Probably all destined to be custom fodder. I had the AOTC Senate Guard in my cart, but.... I've finally seen Peasant Anakin in the wild and was extremely underwhelmed. Plus I understand this figure is mostly the same as the 2005 one. I decided this was a good time to stop collecting AOTC and ROTS figures, aside from ones like Barriss Offee that are too awesome to not get. So I didn't order him.

As seen in this image, yes, the bodies are largely the same:

But that's not really the point, as this figure is a redo of the 2000 figure, and based on the guards' TPM/AOTC look, not their ROTS one:

So why waste the tooling on a body that collectors won't look at once the figure's on the shelf anyway?

I think I have one of those blue guards. My wife bought it for me and we never bothered to return it. Can't tell, but it is whichever one came out at the same time as the red royal guard with the cloth robe.

This week, I got:
4 Lego mini figures from TRU (buy 1 get one 1/2 off) - Hula Girl, Snowboarder, the pilot, & space villain. (Pilot and Space Villain are fine, but I was hoping for the the Gorilla and Samurai instead of the other 2)
Lego flying mummy attack (wife had a coupon for TRU - spend $50, get $10 off) - pretty cool little biplane.
Iron Man assault truck - going to try repainting it for a vehicle custom contest. The Iron Man that comes with it isn't bad at first glance, then you realize it only has 5 points of articulation. Plenty of room inside the truck for the figures.
I ordered 25th Flash & Hawk from a website I found because they were $5 each. Also got a new retro Cylon figure for $5. I never watched the new series, but I had a Cylon figure when I was a kid. The vintage Cylon figures aren't cheap, so I'm settling for this one.

I'm hoping my TRU drops the price of those Cylons to clearance prices like they did the Terminator Salvation figures. because they have a TON of those Cylons on the pegs. I would hella army build if they were $4-5 each.

Decided to swing by a Walmart on my way to work today. Of course, no new Star Wars. Then I looked at GI Joe. All the pegs were bare, except for 2 figures: an opened and re-taped RoC Neo viper that has been there forever, and a new Low Light. I looked the package over closely, because it seemed odd that only one new figure was there. There were no signs of it being tampered with and all the accessories seemed to be there. I guess someone just returned it. Now that I've got it home and opened it, the only thing odd about it is that the bi-pod doesn't stay on the rifle.

It doesn't stay too well. I thought it was odd when I found him that it was the two new Joes and neither Cobra. Sure, one is a new Cobra that everyone seems apeshit over, but the other is a frickin' Destro.

Speaking of which, that Destro came in the mail today with the action feature Storm Shadow and the newest, Renegades-esque (but not technically Renegades) Duke. HTS had them cheaper than retail with free shipping. I'll probably keep the Duke as-is, since he looks cool, and customize something with the Destro and Storm Shadow.

Any of you guys get in on that Hasbro Supercharge offer where you sent in $20 in Hasbro receipts and they give you free stuff? I hear that they are shipping. Star Wars are those small clone wars vehicles. GI Joe seems to be the AWE Striker and Ice Cutter (surprised it isn't a mole pod or rip cycle). The packages are being mailed out of Georgia. I mailed 2 and haven't received anything yet.

I got SuperHero Squad 3pack with Thor, Sif,and a frost giant.

I also got MovieMasters Joker. The second version informally known as 'jailcell' Joker. They had incorrectly clearanced it down to $4.98 but it scanned at $14.99. I showed them the signage and they honored the price. Sweet!
