So is this positive news or not? Bay's cut of the movie earned it an "R" with the MPAA. Rather than take it back and try recutting it to appease them, he asked Speilberg to use his considerable clout to intervene and Steven got them to change it to PG-13.

In essence you'll be watching an "R" rated Transformers movie.

Hot chicks are a dime a dozen, though. This movie should be about a big red truck named Optimus Prime. Not some knockoff from Bionicle and a mute Camaro calling itself Bumblebee who likes to play Devo songs to seduce Spike's girl.

I will not be seeing this opening weekend. I will not be seeing it in the theater at all unless everyone who does see it recommends it.

Or if "more than meets the eye" means "Natalie Portman in a French maid outfit gives a sponge bath to Emma Watson, and they kiss a lot."

You just reminded me of a Junket I attended in New York City last April. Emma Watson wasn't there. But Natalie Portman and one of the maids from the hotel were. And there was a bubble bath involved.

Like most people, I realized this movie was going to suck, so I quit paying attention to it. Last night, I saw the commercial and noticed towards the end, Michael Bay's name is just as big as the title. That can be interperated in one of two ways...1) they are hoping the Michael Bay name draws in a few extra viewers or 2) the promoters realize it is going to suck and want everyone to know who'se fault it is.

I saw a clip of Megatron talking yesterday. Youtube clips take about 20 minutes to download here. It sucks. But I could hardly tell it was Hugo Weaving.
