Black Friday 2008 doesn't look as good as I figured....

Got a rotisserie for chicken and a few games for the daughter. Candyland was $5, and a few copies had a coupon for $3 off attached, so it was two bucks. Grabbed Hellboy II at Target, the only DVD they had worth getting, and Prince's CD, which probably will get shipped off to Marshall's before hitting $6 on clearance.

Best Buy had a "sticker sale," where all CDs with one color sticker (orange or green, I forget which) were $4.99, and the other color sticker was $6.99. Their system is jacked up. I've gotten some recommendations for Ray Lamontagne, and two of his CDs rang up at two stores at $9.99, a dollar more than the regular price, despite having the sticker. Same with some stuff by Outkast and Eddie Vedder. Curiously, they not only had stickers indicating they should be cheaper, but are listed online for the sale price (plus, of course, shipping). I didn't feel like dealing with the morons at the stores, but told them they should probably check this out, since the paper's pretty clear. I doubt they will. I probably should've pressed the issue. Did get a few albums, mostly stuff I've been told about and that sound good from online samples, but not wanted to check out for full price. Did get Weezer's Raditude for $6.99.

Also discovered that Costco has kick ass sales on turkeys on Black Friday. Unfortunately, wasn't at home, so couldn't take advantage. They had iTunes gift cards for $8 off a 4-pack of $15 cards (in addition to their $5 discount). I got a second Band Hero, as it's discounted $20 through 12/3, and will take it back tomorrow with my original receipt from a few weeks ago.

I ended up getting Hellboy II also that day and Hancock for the kids. I picked up Pearl Jams CD since it was 6 bucks. Black Friday really sucked for the most part this year. Didnt see a lot of things that warranted me getting up at 4am. I just went later in the day
