I finally opened these up yesterday. I got Quicksilver, She-Hulk, Thor, Juggernaut, and Jean Grey.

Jean Grey sucked and I pawned her off on my roomate the same way i did Emma Frost. Juggernaut is not bad, I'm just not a big fan of the movie figs. If I could think of someone to customize this into, I would. because the sculpting is rather good and it's a nice likeness of Vinnie Jones.

Quicksilver's body is straight up Capt. Marvel's. With a decent new head sculpt. Pietro's costume is pretty straightforward, so the paint app is good, much better than the one they pawned off on Banshee.

She-Hulk is a good figure. Good size. The face is a little meh. Not so much because its poorly done but because the facial sculpting of the women in the series from one series to the next is so inconsistent. I've seen much hotter looking toys, and then I've seen EMMA. Shulkie is somewhere in between.

Thor looks great. The wide stance of his crotch articulation lends to a regal looking stance, but not too much for posability. And his boots are a boring monotone tan/yellow with no paint app. But the figure is a nice addition, considering.

Blob is very cool and much nicer than the previous BAF, Annhilus. He might even be better than the previous two Toybiz offerings. Definitely better than the one before that, Onslaught. Except when would we have ever seen a MODOK or Mojo otherwise, so I'm glad they made those. He's fucking huge! I'm slightly sorry to see the really BIG BAFs go because I feel there were still some possibilities left, but for this wave at least i applaud their choice.

This wave is much nicer than their first one. Overall, as long as Hasbro continues to utilize Toybiz's molds, I wont have a problem. They need to step up in the paint app dept, but that aint gonna happen because hasbro sucks. When they start getting into their own sculpting ideas, like Jean Grey, thats when things are really going to go downhill.

About fucking time.

But why would FFF be in the Hulk line?

And is Bi-Beast the apelike Beast or the feline Beast? I always thought the feline Beast looked more bi.

Bi-Beast looks like Beast-man with 2 faces on his head (one above the other)- first Hulk comic I ever owned was Hulk vs Bi-Beast on the SHIELD heli-carrier

I saw a pic of Black Bolt - that's about the best Marvel toy I've seen in quite some time. The camo Crossbones is nice as well. Tigra I'm no so worried about (unless she's being drawn all sexy-like by Frank Cho and making my underpants feel tight).

I've never tried this before, but I'm going to actually attempt customizing a figure.

I got a WCW/TNA Brother Devon, which is made by Toybiz/Marveltoys and uses the same bodies as Legends. He's almost a perfect match for Modern/New Avengers Luke Cage. With some friendly tips from another forum, I'm going wetsand off all the annoying wording on his legs, and the front and back of his torso, and do some repainting. Fairly simple as far as customizing goes.

Wish me luck!

Rumor has it Wave 5 is gonna be

Spiral
USAgent
Adam Warlock
Union Jack
Back in Black Spidey
"Savage" Silver Surfer (from Planet Hulk)

No word on BAF.

Also, Hasbro has had TWO fan choice polls up recently. One offered

Lilandra
Aurora
FA Magneto
Gambit (blue/yellow costume)
Northstar
Sunfire (AoA/modern look)
Silver Samurai
FA Storm

and the more recent had

Guardian
Aurora/Northstar 2 pack
Lilandra
AIM soldier
Classic Ghost Rider
Kang the Conqueror
Dragon Man
Zombie Sentry

EDIT. Lilandra's in the lead? What the fuck ever Hasbro. If you're gonna doctor your own poll, don't insult our intelligence in the process.

I'm no Silver Samurai fan, but he's popular. You mean to tell me fucking Lilandra's winning?

More proof that any poll by Hasbro is a fucking joke. Your vote means more if you're a black felon from Florida in 2000.

Someone on another board pointed out hasbrotoyshop.com doesn't ship outside the US, so a large non-US contigent could spam the voting process in favor of the worst figure. That makes sense to me. It just seems hinky that this obscure and not oft requested figure shows up on BOTH polls and miraculously wins? It's like Hasbro already decided to make a Lilandra exclusive and made up the poll and the results to justify whatever reason they had for choosing her.

Apparently Kang is winning by a landslide now.

I just got the two Wal-Mart 2-packs. Clever re-use of bodies.

Cannonball is Classic Ghost Rider's body. (Which sounds strange, but actually works)
Domino is X-Men Classics X-Treme Rogue's body
Cable is X-Men Classics Stealth Wolverine's body
Marvel Girl is HML Marvel Girl's body (although, since technically this one got released first, Rachel will be using Jean's body??)

I prefer the original Cable to this new one, and Marvel Girl's face looks flat (what's with Hasbro having trouble doing women's heads properly?)

The Cannonball and Domino are pretty good though.

I don't buy the superhero toys because they are too big next to my Star Wars figures but I bet you could make that one guy to be like a baby rancor and have the new Luke Skywalker hit him with his lightsaber! I think if the clonetroopers had been on Tatooine when Jabba's palace was there, then the clonetroopers would have had to fight the rancor and then instead of killign it they would have to let it go and that fat guy wouldn't have cried. Probably they wouldn't let the Han and Luke and Chewei gete away and blow up the Jabba's sail barge. I think a new Darth Vader sculpt that was Darth Vader: Leader of the Clone Troopers would be neat!

Apparently, the SDCC exclusive is Ka-Zar, Shanna, and Zabu three pack.

I also got the new movie Iron Man Mark III and the Iron Monger figures. Yay!
