From the week before last, 16 books. Only one first issue, a rare DC purchase. 7 CW2 tie ins.
Uncanny Avengers 12. The Pym/Ultron creature is lured aboard a spaceship and shot into the sun. I guess that's the last we'll see of himmMMMwahahHAHAHAHAHAHAH!! Oh man [wipes away tear]...
Batman 5.Batman has to be bailed out by the League and get Gotham to burn his powers out and kill himself. Has the edict come down from WB to make comic Batman a killer? "Get in line with the movieverse!!" declares asshat-in-charge(of ruining DC) Geoff Johns "Batman's all about the body count now!"
Black Widow 5. BW's big secret is that she was the one responsible for kidnapping Yinsen Ho, the guy who helped Stark build the IM armor.
Sam Wilson 12. CW2 tie in. But not really. A bunch of racist politicians decide Sam Wilson should no longer have the shield and title now that Rogers is back(even though Steve has said in the record he wants Sam to keep both) So they decide to talk USAgent into getting it back.
Civil War II: The Fallen Oneshot The friends and family of Bruce Banner deal with his assassination.
CW2 Amazing Spidey 3. Clash dons his costume to defeat Robot Master with Spidey's help. But since wearing the Clash costume is a violation of his parole, Now he's in trouble and decides to fight Spidey.
CW2 X-Men 3. The different factions of the X-Men continue to debate about what to do about the Inhuman's new precog.
Daredevil/Punisher 4. Matt cooks Frank a lovely steak dinner and they watch I Love Lucy reruns.
Gwenpool 5. Gwen teams up with Miles Morales, whose secret ID she knows because she reads comics.
Mockingbird 6. CW2 tie in. Not wanting to deal with the trial of her ex-husband for murdering the Hulk, Bobbi accepts a mysterious invitation on a cosplay cruise ship, and ends up embroiled in a murder mystery.
Suicide Squad 1. Rebirth! I picked it up to see what Jim Lee was up to artwise. There's barely any story in the first issue, and the team is literally the team from the recent movie, so guess how many of these villains I think are actually gonna die on any given mission? Also, I got the Lee Bermejo variant cover that showcases Harley's scrumptious ass.
Thor 10. Thor and Agent Solomon have to rescue Dario Aggar before he nukes NYC. Meanwhile two overzealous SHIELD Agents attempt to arrest Jane Foster as Thor, until Jane Foster walks thru a portal from Asgard. YeahbuhWHA??
Transformers TAAO 3. The political players on Cybertron react to Sentinel Prime's return.
Transformers MTMTE 56. The second to last issue. Sad face. Yeah, I know it's getting relaunched as Lost Light in a couple months, but still...sad face.
Ultimates 10. CW2 tie in. When a Ulysses prediction doesn't pan out, it fractures the team. And Thanos plots in the background.
Wolverine 11. CW2. When Ulysses predicts Old Man Logan will kill Gabby, SHIELD shows up in force, and the resulting escalation results in the very thing they came to prevent coming true.

16 more books this week. 3 First Issues. 6 CW2 tie ins.
New Avengers 15. CW2 tie in. But not really. The three way war between Bobby's AIMvengers, SHIELD, and the Maker's forces continues. Goddamn, this book is old school Marvel fun. I can't recommend Al Ewing's current stuff enough. He's writing this, Ultimates, and the recently ended Contest of Champions. Check them out!
Atomic Robo and the Temple of Od 1. YEAH!! ROBO'S BACK! All Robo is good Robo. This one is set in 1938 Shanghai as Robo looks for a missing Chinese scientist kidnapped by Japanese agents.
Steve Rogers 4. CW2 tie in. But not really. Hydra Agent Steve Rogers explains his plan to kill Red Skull and take over Hydra. Meanwhile, Maria Hill answers for Pleasant Hill. Lot,going on in this book.
CW Choosing Sides 3. and CW Choosing Sides 3. I grabbed these two to round up to 16. Wasn't impressed with the first two issues, but decided to get these anyway. 3 had a story about Kate Bishop dealing with the other Hawkeye's trial. And 4 had a Punisher story and Power Pack story. Haven't seen Jack and Katie Power in like forever, so it was cool to see them. And they've aged them up appropriately, so Katie's about 13 and Jack's 15.
CW2 Ulysses 1. The story of how Ulysses was taken in by the Inhumans after his transformation. Karnak is a gigantic asshole. And not like the cool kind. He's just a douche.
Deadpool 17. CW2 tie in. But not really. Wade's having a bad day. The Mercs for Money quit. Preston tells him to stop coming around Ellie. And when he gets home he finds Jack Russel, Werewolf by Night in bed with his wife.
Deathstroke 1. Rebirth! The first thing writer Chris Priest does is bring back Wintergreen. Hurrah! Geoff Johns killed off Wintergreen many years ago because he's a shitty writer who only knows how kill off cool supporting characters. I got both covers because Deathstroke is my favorite DC character and he finally has a decent writer on his title.
GIJoe ARAH 231. Dawn steals SnakeEyes sword. Duke and Roadblock track Claire to the Middle East. And like a hundred other ongoing subplots. Damn, Hama crams a lot into his issues.
Uncanny Inhumans Annual 1. Another Annual with a 1 on it. So there were these two Inhumans that showed up in an FCBD issue a couple years ago. This is the story of what happened to them in the meantime.
Intl Iron Man 6. The story of how Tony Stark's real parents met. It's a rockstar/undercover SHIELD agent named Amanda Armstrong and an spy named Jude(although that might be an alias). We were led to believe it was a couple of big names in the Marvel U, but I don't recognize either of those characters.
Moon Girl/Devil Dinosaur 10. Ms. Marvel guest stars to teach Moon Girl what it means to be an actual hero.
Squirrel Girl 11. SG uses binary equations and basic computing to defeat Nightmare.
Star Wars 22. Han, Leia, and Luke steal a Star Destroyer.
ExX-Men 13. Honestly, I can't remember what happened. The X-books are all dull.

Sins of the Wreckers. So good. So fucking good. This is better storytelling than Vertigo has managed in years. And it's based on a fucking toy from three decades ago.
Seriously. Really fucking good.
RIP, you-know-who and other you-know-who.

I think it's the guy that Norman Osborn double crossed when he first became the Green Goblin. Stromm? Marvel finds a way to bring everybody back as a villain.

After missing 9 weeks, I cleaned my box out.
42 books. Approx $130.
I've only read a couple so far.
Agents of SHIELD #8-9 - I did read these. Phil Coulson has been fired and replaced by Elektra. Can we just agree that there are like 15 different Elektras out there? I don't think I've ever read a consistent characterization of her.
All-Star Batman #2 - On the reorder list for #1
Batman #4-7
Black Widow #6
Civil War II #4-5
Daredevil #10-11, Annual #1 - At least the annual was the Skottie Young variant.
Daredevil/Punisher #4
Darth Vader #24 - Vader fights his past in his head by reliving Episode III, and puts the Anakin Skywalker part of himself away.
Deadpool #16-18
Detective Comics #937-940
Guardians of the Galaxy #11-12
Han Solo #3
International Iron Man #5-7
Lazarus #24
Mockingbird #6 - Missed #5 & 7. I'll check one of the 2 other nearby shops this week. Or when I'm in Grand Rapids this coming weekend.
Papergirls #8-9 - I'm kind of shocked I haven't seen any "If you liked Stranger Things, you must read Paper Girls!" yet.
Poe Dameron #5-6
Punisher #4-5
Star Wars #22 - The gang steals a Star Destroyer.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens #2-4 - I was hoping for something much more fun and re-readable, like Marvel's OT adaptations, but these are just poorly done, even by adaptation standards.
Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #10-11

Once again, I've fallen way behind. This is 25 books from 2 and 3 weeks ago. 8 or so CW2 books in there.
Amazing Spidey 17. Jackal attempts to revive Electro's powers, but powers up his resurrected GF instead killing Electro in the process. Prowler is doing some snoop work for Spidey and also ends up getting killed and resurrected by Jackal.
Ant-Man 11. The series catches up to the present, as Scott sits in prison recapping how he got there over the last 10 issues. Then he hires SheHulk as his attorney.
ANAD Avengers 14. CW2 tie in, but not really. Some thugs posing as Russian State Security come for Nadia, the new Wasp, but Janet is suspicious and throws down with them.
Uncanny Avengers 13.CW2 tie in. Ulysses gets a vision that Cable is up to shenanigans and tells Cap, who confronts Cable. Cable doesn't deny it and tells Cap to feck off.
Uncanny Avengers 14. CW2 tie in. Cable and Rogue are trying to find a cure for the mutant disease that's caused by Terrigen mist. As such they've teamed up with fellow mutants like Toad and Sebastian Shaw who are also on the verge of extinction, because y'know mutants. They find the US military is trying to weaponize the mist as a mutant deterrent and Cap finds out what they're up to, he's less interested about the douchiness of the army and more pissed his teammates would associate with "known criminals" so he disbands the Unity Squad.
Batman 6. Batman tries to connect with A mentally unstable Gotham Girl after her brother's death last issue.
Carnage 11. The anti-Carnage team arrives on the island and are accosted by lizard women.
Civil War 2 Choosing Sides 5. Alpha Flight and Nick Fury get stories. Meh.
Daredevil 11. DD is on the trail of a serial killer who uses his victims' blood to paint murals. Creepy.
Deadpool vs Gambit 4. Almost entirely a flashback tale starring Scramble, the former Marauder, with hardly any DP or Gambit, but still entertaining.
DP Mercs4$ 3. As his team rebels, DP begins to question his latest contract to round up powered people.
Doctor Strange 11. Strange and the other magic users have to start rebuilding magic from the ground up.
Guardians of the Galaxy 11. CW2 tie in. Capt Marvel calls her former GoG teammates back to Earth to help her side. Lots of talking about whether they should help. But another nice Art Adams cover helps.
Howard the Duck 10. Howard deals with the meta team of two alien writers making up his adventures, and he ends up getting shot. Next issue is the last issue.
Iron Man 13. CW2 tie in. Tony goes to apologize to his GF for faking his death last arc, and she has one of the coldest burns I've read in a long time. I was like "Daaaammn that's hurtful." Then Doom shows up and Tony is like why are you friending me.
Ms Marvel 10. CW2 tie in. Kamala comes to the conclusion her idol's side of the war is probably wrong. And that kinda sucks.
Nova 10. Nova tracks down the Worldmind. Which has been missing with Rich Rider ever since he "died".
Saga 37. The next chapter begins.
Silk 12. Silk and her friends go traipsing around in the Negative Zone like its no big thing, and find Cindy's mom who is a midevel knight. Or something.
Silver Surfer 6. The 200th issue of Silver Surfer. Surfer takes Dawn to visit her estranged mother who walked out on the family when she was little.
Spider-Man 7. CW2 tie in. It's amazing, considering the number of books he writes every month, how often Bendis can fill up an entire 20 pages where not much happens.
Han Solo 3. Solo continues to race and pick up the Alliance spies along the way.
Transformers 56. Lead up to Revolution, as GIJoe escorts prisoner GB Blackrock and their convoy gets attacked by Sentinel Prime.
Wolverine Annual 1. What?? An annual with a 1 on it?? How rare. Wolverine and Spider-Gwen body swap thanks to an amateur magician wanting revenge. Hijinks ensue.
Uncanny X-Men 12. Magneto and his team are also the new inner circle of the Hellfire Club. Haha, the "Uncanny X-Men" are pretty much straight up just the Brotherhood of evil mutants at this point.

12 books from last week. Half of them CW2 tie ins.
Detective 940. Tim Drake gets exploded by like 10,000 drones...and then wakes up in a mysterious prison run by...Ughhh....Ozymandias. Ugghhhhhhh. Oh, but Batman and everyone thinks he's dead, so they're sad. And that's like 4 Robin's Batman has lost.
Black Panther 6. The intriguing political machinations of Wakanda continue.
CW2: Amazing Spidey 4. Clash goes full villain.
CW2: Gods of War 4. Herc and his old school God crew defeat the modern gods.
Deadpool 18. CW2 tie in, but not really. Wade and Shiklah have a knockdown drag out fight after Wade blew off Wereeolf by Nights head for shucking his wife's corn.
Deathstroke 2. Slade and Wintergreen figure out who betrayed Wintergreen all those years ago. And a certain silver haired teenage girl shows up.
Green Lantern 6. Bought this accidentally. But apparently there's new rings that anyone can use without being "chosen" by them.
Gwenpool 6.Gwen's team up with Miles doesn't go like she planned and she winds up in jail.
Mockingbird 7. CW2 tie in. Aboard a nerd cruise ship in the Bermuda Triangle, Bobbi tries to solve a locked room murder mystery.
Spider-Man 8. Jessica Jones and Luke Cage visit Miles on a roof and tell him then figured out his secret ID in two hours, and that his grandma hired Jess to spy on him. Then Miles gets the call to go confront the Hulk with everyone else, and we know how that turned out.

How has All Star Batman been? For me it has a hattrick going against it, so I dinnae even bother reason the first issue. First, Snyder is overrated as a Batman writer. Second, JRJr has become an abysmal slag of an artist in the past few years. And third, I feel like DC went 'ohay everyone always asks us when ASBatman is coming back...well you asked for it, heah 'tis!!' not realizing we want the fucking closure on the Miller/Lee series and you can't just slap a title on a book and expect fans to be sated.
DC can nuzzle my hairy beanbag.

It's about as good as All Star Batman was the first time around.
