Which issues were Han and Fett?

It looked like there were two different Fett covers. I was wondering why they skipped Leia, then I remembered she had her own mini and the variant was probably in that series.

Uh oh. Use of the word "stupid" concerns me. Especially since you're not one of the Barber haters who despise everything in this title on principle.

Leia & Vader were both done as the #1's of their respective series. Chewie however was in the main series, I guess they didn't want to wait. I am working on getting them set up here for a pic with the figures.

16 books this week. Well, 18. Only a couple First Issues and one SW book. There've been a couple series I've been on the fence about but didn't get because of $$. This week I skipped Hercules 2 even though I was mildly intrigued by the first issue.

Amazing Spidey 4. Spidey ditches a critical SHIELD operation on Zodiac to go rescue Aunt May from an attack on her humanitarian relief work in Africa.

Uncanny Avengers 3. Cable shows up from the future and tells the Avengers they fucked everything up and he's here to fix it. The bad guy turns out to be new Avenger Synapse's long lost grandfather, but who cares.

Back to the Future 3. I had to get this at a different shop. George and Lorraine come to 1955 Emmet's home looking for Calvin Klein. And Biff fight dinosaurs. This just got upgraded to ongoing but I doubt I'll keep getting it.

Batman/TMNT 1. First Issue. The Turtles and the Hand are trapped in Gotham and are stealing tech to get back home. Batman investigates. It was alright.

Contest of Champions 3. The unfolding history of Guillotine continues to intrigue. The contests aren't nearly as interesting.

Deadpool 3. The checks Deadpool wrote his new team are bouncing. Wade works with the cops to figure out who's trying to frame him.

GIJoe ARAH 221. Cobra World Order continues. Zartan amd Destro plot against Cobra. The Joe team mobilizes.

Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Yotat searches for Drax and gets recruited by the Brood. Gamora sacrifices herself so the Guardians can rescue Quill and escape.

Gwenpool Holiday Special Oneshot. Holiday themed short stories about She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Deadpool & the Hawkeyes, and Gwenpool that all tie in to a party at She Hulks. Pretty good stuff.

Hawkeye 2. Continues to tell the story in the present and 30 years from now.

Max Ride 2. Was getting this for the daughter. She told me they've horribly adapted the story, so maybe I'll drop it.

Scarlet Witch 1. First Issue. "Witchcraft" is "broken". Wanda is talking to Agatha Harkness' ghost to fix it. I was pretty sure this would suck because it's Robinson but I had to be sure. I am. Dropped.

Secret Wars 8. Franklin Galactus kills Grimm. Groot destroys Castle Doom. Doom kills Thanos. The final issue has been delayed until 2025 or something. Marvel will have relaunched all their books at least five times before then.

Spider-Gwen 3. Apparently anytime Gwen is in trouble, she can just body slide out of danger to the 616 and ask preggers Spider-Woman for life advice.

Spidey 2099 4. Capt America 2099 is also in the present working as Miguel's assistant's assistant. She heads through the time portal and fights what may be Venture.

Star Wars Annual 1. Leia authorizes the most tactically retarded assassination attempt on Palpatine and blows every asset the Alliance had imbedded on Coruscant all at once. Why is she in charge of shit?? Between this and Vader Down she's proven she shouldn't be in charge of a frozen banana stand, let alone a rebellion.

Star Wars Free Preview. Not so much a comic as a pimping of all the SW books and Trades available. Hmmm. Is there a movie coming out or something? I don't follow that stuff.

The Ultimates 2. The Ultimates fix Galactus. Expect more cosmic sized storytelling from this super team. Excellent stuff.

"That appears...untrue." was pretty good. Not "To me, my Galactus" good or "He's not coming." good, but pretty good.

It's underwhelming because it obviously doesn't stick.
I'm waiting for the Reed/Doom throwdown. "You stole my wife!!!"

Yep. I find the delay between issues is really hurting the impact of the story too. The countdown to the event had a much more urgent feel. Marvel has moved on without it. I don't read much about comics - did they have problems with the interior art? Is that the cause for the delay?

They kept falling asleep because the story is so dull and pointless.

Reading between the lines it felt like editorial was tweaking things, Hickman is a bit of a perfectionist when writing, but the majority of it is they wanted a single artist for the entire series and Esad Ribic is taking awhile since the series is essentially painted. I know he had quite a large lead time, but they also planned the book coming out bi-weekly for the middle issues and it seems the lead time wasnt enough.

I'm happier when an event has one writer and one artist, so I can deal with the delays. Jam session Events with multiple writers and artists just aren't my thing.

I think the look of it has been fine, but I would have been more fine with Lenil or Deodato (it was them on Avengers & New Avengers yes?) cranking the issues out on time.

Agreed, timeliness is a lost art(no pun intended). I'll take a journeyman artist who gets stuff done every month over a "superstar" who can't crank out a page a week to save his life every time.

And while we're bitching, eff them guys that LAUNCH a book and get everyone excited and then duck out by issue 3 or 4.

Fucking Cassaday & that other lazy has-been, Joe Madureira likely being 2 of the worst. I wouldn't contact either one of them without forcing them to hand the project over in its entirety up front. Sons of bitches. Honestly though, Immonen has been better on Star Wars - that won't help Cassaday sell his wares any.
