LOLA looks like one of the robots from *batteries not included. It took me while to remember why it looked familiar.

Holy fuck, this show is good. Like "better than Rebels" or "better than Mandalorian" good. The only complaint is the way they're pretending the Grand Inquisitor is dead when we all know he isn't.

And Quinlan Vos fucking lives! Confirmed! And the way Tala said he helps smuggle younglings, and the show is about a youngling who may need to be smuggled....

Ep3 had me like: Holy Jesus, did this really happen in our SW universe? They are really putting the pedal to the metal, story-wise.

When they showed Vader stand up and walk towards the camera at the beginning of the episode, I could feel Hayden’s excitement at getting to be a proper Vader. I kinda felt bad for him because he got David Prowsed; he’s under the helmet and someone else doing the voice, but then….

The last 10-15 minutes of this episode is quite possibly better than all three prequels and all three sequels.

Old Legends references worth getting excited about - Quinlan Vos and Jabiim!

We just got Rebels Vader in live action.

The closest thing we got before was Rogue One, where he was fucking savage. But this is fucking savage Vader fighting Jedi and beating the shit out of them, which we never really got before because of the limitations of the suit forty years ago.

A major bomb got dropped on this show beneath our noses.

The kid in Episode 2, going to Corellia? He's credited as Corran, as in Corran Horn.

His mother is credited as Nyche, as in Nyche Horn.

Corran Horn is famously Corellian.

When Obi-Wan sees the names on the wall and we all were distracted by the confirmation that Quinlan lives, one of the Jedi names is Valin Halcyon. As in what would've been the birth name of Valin Horn.

A Rogue Squadron movie is coming, and the director says she's read and will honor the books.

We just got Corran Horn back!

Hopefully he does more than canon Dash Rendar, Prince Xizor, and Zorba the Hutt.

A SotE show with Dash would be pretty dope.

Despite what Kathleen Kennedy thinks, I don’t think fans would have a huge problem with them recasting the original cast in new projects. Alden Ehrenreich was not the reason Solo fizzled. He’s not Harrison Ford, but nobody was gonna fill those shoes and he did well enough. Donald Glover was great as Lando.

If they’re gonna keep expanding the lore with new shows and films, they can’t keep dipping into the CGI well. It’s just not feasible. Let someone else take a crack at playing Luke and Leia. I think the prospect of getting more live action adventures with the OT characters far outweighs the “sanctity” of the original actors getting replaced.

I was disappointed when Kathleen Kennedy said that because it means she doesn't understand what fans think. Solo was fine, especially Glover as Lando. It was the shitty storyline in the Episodes 7-9 that pissed people off.

Speaking of Imperial women, Indira Varma is hot. I remember her from Rome on HBO.

I laughed a little when they shot the mouse droid during the escape. I never know how much I wanted to see one get blasted until then.

I called bullshit when Obi-Wan’s escape vessel jettisoned from the bottom of the refugee ship. It was practically the same size. Like where the hell were all the refugees sitting if that thing was inside the other ship?

The Vader/Obi-Wan rematch gave me goosebumps. Vader admitted to killing Anakin. So what Obi-Was told Luke WAS true…from a certain point of view.

The final cameo. While it wasn’t necessary to the story, I feel like its absence would’ve lingered as a missed opportunity, so I’m glad they did it.

The entire Obi-Wan series enriched both the Prequels and the OT.

The parallels between the duel here and Vader's duel with Ahsoka were beautiful. They even included the cold, calm "Then you will die."

I missed the familiar themes until that absolutely beautiful (if you weren't moved to tears, you have no soul and fuck your Uncle Rodger while claiming to not be gay) scene where Obi-Wan returns to Alderaan. Waiting until the end to use the themes gave them so much more power.

Also I just love that, in the new shows and movies, Vader is portrayed as far more powerful and terrifying than anything we got on screen before, yet also more tragic and physically vulnerable.

But only four people have been able to physically hurt Vader. And they're the four living characters he's closest to, so it makes the most sense.
