There are four of them (Jedi Luke, Snowtrooper, Maul, TCW phase I Obi-Wan) that have only shown up in Canada and Europe so far. Hopefully they'll still be released in the States eventually – I'll ask Hasbro about this at SDCC – but if not I'll be calling in a favor up north.
I have been keeping my eyes open & will continue doing so - nothing yet.

You're doing God's work, friend.
On the same note, have you personally seen any of the updated 41st Elite Corps Clone Trooper, with the added gray areas? As you mentioned elsewhere, they've been spotted up there, but it seems they're still pretty rare.

I haven't myself, but they have been spotted & purchased in Ontario so I'll keep looking for those as well.

Tonight I found 3/4 of the cheap figures for you, Mr JJ. Of course someone snagged the Snowtroopers so I have Jedi Luke (x2, might keep one as he looked half decent - tiny but half decent), Maul & Obi Wan. I was off on the prices OR they've been lowered - these were 6.99 a piece. I also saw the Chewie/Han, Threepio/R2 2 packs - couldn't pull the trigger on either one. The droids looked absurdly small, Han looked like some soap actor I can't name and all the Chewies looked like the paint had just been thrown at them. Still haven't seen the Fett anywhere, that was one I was hoping to see so I could consider picking it up if I liked it - no luck.

Awesome, thanks! I'll hold off on collecting the bounty until the Snowtrooper and/or corrected 41st Clone join them. No rush.
R2 is the same size as the Vintage Collection one, which was scaled down to be more accurate to the films – so it's small, but it's correctly small. I don't think 3PO is much smaller than other figures but I'll have to check. Yeah, Han's likeness isn't very good. To me it looks like present-day Harrison Ford painted like 1977 Harrison Ford. Most of the Chewies I've seen have also had pretty shitty paint, particularly with the teeth.

I was going to start a little collection of them as a distraction while waiting for the new black series figures, but I'm just not excited about them enough to spend the money or time tracking them down. I might take another look at the droids & in a weak moment spend the money. Han and Chewie though, that's not even close. Do you have the cheap single carded Fett? How's that figure? I would consider him based on the photos I've seen as well as the 3 pack with the Bespin Luke & Darth from last year - don't imagine I'll find that on the shelves here anywhere but we'll see.

I'll make 'em extra sloppy for yas!!!
So it now seems like these four will be re-released on the Rebels packaging here, which I figured they would be. Darth Maul isn't included in the first wave but it seems he'll be joining shortly – it looks like the first wave is outlined in orange in that photo, with the second wave (or just later releases) in yellow. JJR, I'll PM you shortly to figure out what to do.

Boba's definitely one of the better ones. He's a different sculpt from the one in the 2012 Bespin battle pack, which had a ball-joint head; this one is swivel. His cape is about half the length it should be since it's part of his torso but overall he's got a good look. I haven't photographed any of these figures for individual Toy Guide entries on the other site, but I included a comparison of all the ESB Boba figures in the entry for the 6" Black Series Boba. The Saga Legends figure is the far-right 3 3/4" one; the 2012 Movie Heroes battle pack one is to the left.

Yeah I actually do like the looks of that Fett. I'll snag one if I see it. Almost popped for the droids this am, but if I was going to buy them I was going to buy Han & Chewie as well. Cooler heads prevailed, mainly on the thought of how many figures of those characters I already have - just couldn't go again. ><

JJ, I understand the 6" Cantina Showdown set is showing up at Canadian TRUs.
We all need you to pick that set up for us. Two, in fact, because we'll each need to keep one boxed.
Imaginary forumites and victims/creations of MFPD as well.

No problem. I have almost 7 thousand dollars in my "I don't give a shit" account that should almost pay for half of them.
No, not really. I'm broke as shit thanks to this vacation.

So Hasbro gets everyone excited about their presentation at SDCC & we get.... 4 new OT themed figures.
The message I received was loud & clear: "Our new 3.75 inch line of Collector-Quality figures is going to be bigger than ever - 2.25 inches bigger to be exact!"

Yeah, I saw absolutely nothing from Star Wars to excite me. And nothing from G.I.Joe at all.
Transformers, on the other hand, I think I ruined my pants when I saw the pics of Menasor and Superion, even clearly mis-transformed as they are.

Ok, I found the Star Wars pictures. There really isn't much to see. I saw Yoda, but not Torynn Farr. Aren't they in the same wave? The new wave they announced was quite underwhelming. Another Dutch? The only one I'm considering is the Ceremonial Leia.
I wish the 6" and 3.75" lines didn't both have the same "Black Series" name. It's kind of annoying.
So, I guess there are about four figures I'm looking for by the end of the year. At $10, that's fine. Same goes for GI Joe. I'll be happy to find the Vamp/Night Landing set at TRU. Seems like Hasbro has all but given up on GI Joe.

The current and already-revealed 3 3/4" Black Series figures seemed to be a random mix from the first five waves. It appears that Yoda will be repacked onto the black-and-blue line look, which is why he was there. The black-and-orange wave with him still hasn't been found at retail.
I hear you on the name, it's unnecessarily confusing.
Derryl DePriest actually no longer works for the Star Wars team and is currently working to revive GI Joe.

It was mainly the rumor sites getting people excited. (Hasbro did say that ESB fans would be happy, which I assume was meant for the 6" Tauntaun and Wampa sets.) The rumors turned out to be largely true, even if we only saw a bit of what we heard. I assume the rest of the stuff will be coming next year sometime.
They'll still be making the 3 3/4" Black Series figures and don't have any plans to stop making them, according to the panel and the two interviews I did with them (part 1, part 2, plus updates from the panel). So I'm not worried about it.
